Since I've heard a rumor that you all like pictures here (who doesn't when it's of fur babies?
), here are a few pictures to introduce my Evie! For all pictures, ignore my messy house, and sorry, but I *only* have crummy cell phone pictures...

This is her "What's that??" look.

My ferocious huntress:

This is how she like to lay on my chest, even when I'm sitting up and busy!

Ignore the mess in back, and yes, she has extra toes! (And only half a tail!)

Who says cats hate water?
This is when we first brought her home, she has just been fixed, but she tells people she was just starting a new fashion statment!

Quick! Call the SPCA!! Kitty abuse!

She looks like a real sweetie. I love the shot of her face in the sink!
What happened to her tail? Was she born like that?

You know, I really don't know what happened to her tail. She was a rescue (yay!), and her tail was already like that. Sadly, the pound I rescued her from is so over crowded that none of the workers there knew any of her story at all.

Our story is that she wanted to be extra special (she didn't know she already was, because she didn't live with us yet!), so she traded half her tail for some extra toes.

And oh yes, LOTS of "innocent" mischeif.
She keeps us on our toes!

She is a calico, but as I've just learned from this site, that is not a breed... Can anyone guess what breed she might be, since I have no idea?
And since she's my first and only cat, I don't know "tortitude" as different from any other cat's attitude, but she's definitely got attitude! She's a real lover, and a real lover of trouble!

You're right, "calico" refers to her color, which is basically three colors, white, black, red in patches. As far as her breed, I think she is a domestic medium hair...at least her hair looks medium-length on the pictures. She is quite a beauty!

Torties are similar to calicos, but are generally black and red, and not so "patched". "Tortitude" refers to the "attitude" of "torties", which is known to be...ummm...cantankerous?
Calicos are also known to have a bit of a diva attitude!
