Today I had an appointment at the archives at the library. It was the COOLEST thing ever! They have Moose Jaw Times-Herald newspapers on microfilm from 1887 all the way up to August 2006. I only printed out two things--my birth announcement along with one of my brothers'. I'm going back there in a few days and want to go through some more newspapers. I want to print out historical headlines/articles--like WWII ending or something like that. Can anyone think of something "big" that I could print out? I have no good ideas and I want to put my quarters to good use.

Here... or There... Hmmm
The fall of the Berlin Wall... The wedding announcement of your parents. Any obituaries from relatives close to you. How about JFK's assassination?

I've personally always been a fan of the ads. Some of them are crazy!

The beginning of WWI would be interesting...

There were some pretty funny Woolco and Bi-Rite ads. Some of the fashion back in the early 80s was quite questionable.

I was going to say Titanic too. How about when the UFO landed in Roswell New Mexico in 1947. It was July 8 1947. At first all papers said it was a flying sauce, in the early editions but when the real edition came out it was suddenly a weather baloon.

A few other ideas
Pearl Harbor
President Kenedy Assasination
The invention of the hula hoop
The all girl baseball legue durring WW2
Any thing from 1960-1965 the civil Rights Movement

I know I can come up with more just give me time.
