Well, it's easy to say "no" when you aren't confronted with the reality of it.

I would have to say "no" at the moment, but who knows what I may say if I was confronted with the fact that I could put an end to all of my financial woes and be able to retire without financial worry. Of course the person would have to be wanting to provide a great home with tons of love and affection.

But off the top of my head the answer is "no" because I love my babies too much.

I'd sell Stumpy for $8 million for sure!!!

Then I'd start my own shelter, have Lily and Smudge treated like queens, and save hundreds and hundreds of kitties

Now to find someone with $8mil who wants to buy Stumpy....

Ophelia yes...provided she would be in a cat & kid free home where she could finally be happy. The only reason I say yes to Ophelia is because she just plain isn't happy here...her dislike & hatred of other cats makes things difficult. I wouldn't want much, $10 whatever....just to know she'd be happy & in a good home!

The other four? No way!!!

I wouldn't sell my furkids for all the money in the world.
Now, there are days that I'd pay someone to take a couple of my human kids

Not really I wouldn't sell them either...My Husband, well that's a whole other story!

Even if someone was serious about paying $8 million for a stray. But then I'm more motivated by love and affection than money, so there you go!

So, would you sell your cat to someone who you knew would take great care of him/her? How much would it take?
Depends on what he's doing at the time. If he's attacking my feet. I might think about it.

All Joking aside,. No I wouldn't. I'd think a person offering millions of dollars (or even hundreds) for a cat to be wacko.

I'm totally motivated by money, but I couldn't sell my cats. What fun would it be to have all of that money and not be able to share it with the ones you love?

No amount of money could EVER tempt me to sell my furbabies. They are my family and i love them to pieces- no amount of money could ever "pay" for the love and affection that i have for them. They are like my children- i would NEVER sell them. I would tell anyone who offered though that there are lots of wonerful animals who need homes and urge them to adopt or donate to their local shelter. But sell my babies? NEVER.

Ask me again the next time Bo decides that while I'm away atwork he's gonna shed the paper towels, kill the feather duster, and rip open and eat half a bag of marshmellows.

I'm just kidding.. They are so rotten, I wouldn't get much for any of them. Or the buyer would want a refund!

No, I wouldn't sell them.

My kids on the other hand? Give me $50 and I'll drive them to your house!

This is why I asked actually, because I was thinking about the concrete reality of it. $8 million (or for me, even $80!) is a lot of money. Obviously my first reaction is no, they're my babies, but just imagine what you could do with that money. Imagine all the other little kitties that you could adopt/help.

But I just think the guilt of selling living, breathing creatures who depend on me, even if I knew they were going to a good home, would get to me and ruin any amount of money. I would always live with the uncertainty of if I had made the right decision and it would drive me crazy not knowing if they're happy, or what's going on with them.

No way, I would never sell my cats. That's like selling your child. It's just... wrong.

I also wanted to add - after having my cats brought to NZ and then having them in quarantine for 30 days - there is NO way I would give them up - I never gave them up when I came back to NZ and I would never give them up now. They mean the world to me.

There isn't any amount of money that one could pay me to give up my cats...any one of them. I just couldn't imagine the guilt I would feel for "selling out" one of my babies for a price tag...it's actually painful to think about it.

No way. You can't put a price on family.

...unless you're in the mob and then you put a price on a hit on family
