First Kitty, First Post

Hello everyone,

After wanting a cat since childhood and not being allowed due to allergies, I have finally, with the encouragement of my long term boyfriend, taken the leap and been claimed by an adorable little fuzz ball I lovingly call Evie.

Even though I've always been a "dog person" (since I've only ever had dogs), this little girl has absolutely stolen my heart. She is so much fun and just a ball of love!!!

Since I'm so new to cats and kittens, a lot of her behavior not only entertains, but mysitfies me. After a few months (I've been talking to my cat people friends for input up to this point), I decided to search the web for any hints that might explain some of her antics, and happened across this website a few days ago. After reading through some of the posts, this came across like a wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable community. Though I've never joined a forum group before, ever, I couldn't resist you guys!

Though I have practically zero knowledge of cats (I'm learning as we live together!), I hope to be some kind of addition to this site, and look forward to getting to know everyone and their babies!

Evie is a little super star and loves acting and posing for the camera- it's just her mommy falls short and doesn't know how to post her pretty pictures here! I did read the instructions, and as I cannot post directly, it seems I need an external website in order to show you guys her Royal Cuteness.

Anyone feel like guiding an internet-know-nothing how to get a website so I can show pictures?

Hi Janet,

Welcome to TCS. This is a great forum. You can post pictures in the fur pictures forum, I believe. It's under General Forums (click on the main category to get additional threads). If you have them saved on your computer, you can post them there. You'll have to look for a thread (under fur pictures) there that tells you what size is optimal and so forth. If you hit go advanced when you post, I think, there's a tool bar button that allows you to attach the pictures, and then there's a way also to insert them into the post.

There might be an easier way, but that's what I did.
