I'm 4'11.5'' - i NEVER find pants that fit!
I i take the lesser of two evils. I buy ones that fit in the waist/hips and get them a bit long. Then I take them home and Colin hems them for me
. He was in the Navy for 8 years- so he can hem/ sew...do everything like that REALLY well.
He sews better than i do on the machine- i can only hand stitch
Works like a charm.

Trust me she is right. Even my DH thinks she is right this time.

You know, a co-worker suggested the same thing to me.....buy what you like, then take them to be altered. It's looking more and more like that is what I'm going to have to do.

Scrubs usually means hospital scrubs.....what you see people in the medical field wearing.

Look what I just found......

http://www.zafu.com/zafu/shapeStart....s-_-google-_-1

It's a site that you have to answer questions and then it tells you what jeans will fit you. I'm not 100% sure about the results though. I saw Levis 550 in there and I remember trying them on in the past....I could stick both my fists between my back and the waistband. A majority of the jeans on the list it came up with for me I've never even heard of!

I lean toward low-rise pants - not ultra-low-rise since I'm tall and long waisted, but low-rise. That way I only have to deal with fitting in the hips and thighs and the waist becomes a non-issue. I'm not the easiest body type to fit but I find that if I try on enough different pants I'll eventually find something that fits fine.

The right belt. The right shirt. The right shoes, can make a dumb pair of jeans into an awesome pair of jeans. I DO have them pair of jeans that are always in the back of my closet, and I will never wear them, and I feel bad about that & stuff, but jeans that are OK, can be fixed with the above.
Also, I have to add the attitude that you use will fix the jeans you don't love. If you are feelin' real good about yourself, which I do like 9 out 10 days, put on them dumb jeans, and wear 'em with pride, because you're hot. And them jeans make you look hot.

Movin' on up!
I bought a pair of Lee stretch khakis today - one size SMALLER. I've found that stretch jeans and khakis fit me better - I have curvy hips but no butt to speak of.

Oh yay!! Someone else has the same problem!!! it drives me mad - I try on a pair of jeans which feel great in the leg, nice and snug around the backside................and there is this bizarre gappy bit in the small of my back!!!!!!! What is this for - have I got part of my back missing?!?!?!?! Are we supposed to have humps on our backs?!?!! I usually end up threading a funky scarf through the belt loops and knotting it at my middle, so it dangles artily by my side, but then there's a big bunched up thing going on at my back!!!

Or I could buy the next size down and have a perfectly fitted waist but not be able to breathe.........................
