OK....I am SOOOOO tired of shopping for jeans/pants!!!!! I can't ever find anything to fit me. Unless there is a drawsting on them or an elastic back waist, they don't fit me right. I put them on and then the back side of the waistband is literally standing out about 5 - 6 inches from the back of my waist. I need jeans and or pants so bad right now and just can't find anything to fit me.

What do you all do?!

While I don't have that problem I have a problem with length. I can buy the pants long but after several washing (I don't put in dryer) they become shorter!!

I have the problem of big legs and hips and narrow waist. For years I would buy jeans that were too big in the waste but had to get the size to fit my legs.

My husband found "comfort fit" jeans and told me to try a pair. They are built a bit larger in the hips and legs so I can buy a pair to fit my waist and also are still baggy in the legs. I'm a Lee jean person cause they fit my body type the best. Most designer jeans don't fit me right.

I learned this from Oprah. Find jeans that fit well in the hip, butt and thigh area. Do not worry about the waist. No one fits the waist the way designers make jeans. When you find one that fits those three aresa perfectly get them. Take them to a seamstress and have them altered to fit your waist.

You can watch the clips from her show and see what I am talking about here.

Trust me she is right. Even my DH thinks she is right this time.

I wear them! My pants never EVER fit properly. I feel that my weight is very inconsistent so I refuse to buy more pants when they stop fitting, because I know I'll be back to that size eventually. Right now I'm in pants about 2 sizes too big, but I know that soon enough they'll fit again, and eventually get to be too tight. I hate it, but what can you do? (Well, I guess you could buy more pants, but then I'm cheap...)

I only own one pair of jeans and they fit pretty good. I can't seem to find another pair anywhere that fits me. It doesn't help that the only stores we have around here are Zellers and Wal Mart

I cry.

I outgrew the body shape of the juniors section in like 6th grade... Sometimes I try stuff on and then remember you can't have hips.

Last weekend the seat of my pants fell apart, and I had to buy more that I could wear to work... what do I end up with? A pair of khakis from the juniors section that are about 8 sizes too big so the hips would fit me, but they fall down all day even though they have elastic (they're something called "scrub pants" but I don't know what that means).

That's me shopping for pants!

I have just the opposite problem; most pants on me are too baggy in the thigh (which is really bad when you're short), fit in the butt, and don't stand a chance of getting buttoned around the middle

I found a pair (one pair!) of Gloria Vanderbilts that fit great years ago- a little elastic on each side of the waist, in a petite. But this year I finally can't wear them anymore, the bottom of the zipper has almost worn an hole in the front in a very bad place... I wanted to cry.

For my nice pants (aka- not jeans, sweatpants or knit ), I have a whole collection of straight leg pants with the wide, smooth elastic waist that zip up the side- they go with pretty much everything, and I can usually wear them even if I go up or down a size or two!

That is very easy for a tailor to fix. Buy jeans or pants that fit the biggest part of your body then have a tailor take in the waist. It usually costs less than $10. per pants.

I also hate buying jeans. If I find a pair that fits I try to buy 2-3 pairs. I am swayed back and there is a 10inch difference in my hips and waist. Being tiny doesn't always have it's advantages. I find store brands fit better.

I used to do alterations in a men's clothing store (many moons ago), and I also volunteer on the costume committee at the local theater...so I'm pretty good at being able to alter just about anything to fit! Usually, when I find something that fits well (especially shoes, I wear a 5 1/2 EE) I'll buy several of them...usually in every color!

I usually go with the medium low rise, so they sit below waist but high on the hips. They fit and are generally a little longer length wise. Jeans that sit on the waist are too troublesome, my waist size would put me in a 2 or 3 for some brands and that size is always short!

I feel your pain. I have the hardest time finding pants that fit well. I have a tiny waist and bigger hips, so pants never fit right. They don't seem to make pants that aren't MOM pants that fit a womans curvy body.

I just keep trying more and more pants on until I find one, or give up

I used to have a hard time finding pants that fit until I found Vanity. They have about 10 different styles that are all different fits, that are perfect. I pay about $34.50 for a pair and I love them. They fit like a dream and last forever

I squeeze into them and eat soup or salads the rest of the day

Then I NEVER throw them in the dryer again

Anyways, yes I have the thighs problem. I have wider hips, but skinny ankles, so I stick with the boot cut fit so my butt doesn't look 2x big. However that's where I run into problems with the thighs, cause usually boot cuts are slim through the thighs.
