My kitties LOVE da bird!!!!!!
I definitely recommend it!
I get them for my kitties and for my foster kitties! It's a huge hit around here!
Be sure to get extra feathers for it (they sell replacement feathers) though - as kitties love da'bird sooo much that those feathers need to be replaced every now and then
Also- i never leave my da'birds out when i am not home since they have a string on them - just to be safe in case one of my kitties were to try and ingest the string while i'm out and get sick. So i put it up when they're not playing with it

It really is that good. And in my house, no other brand of wand toy will do. Has to be Da Bird. I get them at work for about $7; $3 for the refill feather.

Yes it's that awesome, and it's only Da Bird brand that they're crazy about. There are other cheaper versions but they don't last as long, and they are absolutely an awesome toy. *every* cat I have loves that toy. It's the only one besides the track mouse on a wire that spins really fast that they all like.

That is the original manufacturor, I think. No idea if they ship overseas or not. We originally got ours at a cat show. Definitely worth the price, and order extra "birds", lots of them. You won't be disappointed.

All three of our kitties adore da bird, Especially the two girls. We have gone through complete sets of string/feathers and at least 6 feathers attachments. We bought it through a local small pet boutiques but you should be able to get it online from a company that sells it.

I have two Da Bird addicts!! Bella will do acrobatic flips to get at that thing. It moves just like a real bird. I also bought the insect version (I got the dragonfly), but it is different. The "string" on the bug ones is a wire and it's not as long. Stan liked that one better because he's of the "roll on my back and bat at stuff" school, but Bella the huntress prefers the bird version.

You could probably build one with some fishing lure hardware. I got my first one at PetSmart, then got refills online. First one lasted about two months with VERY rough play.

We go with Cat Dancer instead, but I have seen how wild even timid players go for Da Bird.
Since I have a bird, I offer no toys with feathers.
If I still kept rodents, I'd offer no toys with real fur.

My cat loves wand toys(the one I just broke so I'm about to get da Bird), the younger one Tara will do back flips and twist in the air to catch it. The other day she ran off a wall (I'm like are we in the Matrix!) to catch it. I also keep boxes for the cats to play in so I'll twirl the toy around the box and she love running under open box flaps after it. Even my sleepy Princess Frenchie will get up like "don't leave me out of the game".
