R.I.P Coral

I have not posted on this site for a while. A lot of RL things going on.

Coral our beloved cat was born under my porch two years ago. A horrible rainstorm led her and her siblings to come in our homes and our hearts. She was a very loving cat, the kind that if you stopped petting her she would bite you to continue lol. She got out last Saturday night and was hit by a car Sunday morning around 6:00am. I know if I had woken an hour earlier I could have saved her. I scooped her from the road and she was still alive. We let her die in peace in our bedroom wrapped in a soft towel. She was buried that day by my husband. Her death hit us hard and she will be greatly missed. She survived by her sister Bonnie and brother Lovecat Jr.

oh my I am so sorry to read this Its so hard to take when we loose kitties this way, please dont blame yourself You were there to sooth her way across the Bridge and she will take your love with her forever

I'm so sorry to hear about your dear Coral. Sometimes these things just happen and there is nothing you can do. It was not your fault. You gave her a wonderful loving home for her and her siblings.

Poor Sweet Coral - what a beautiful girl - please don't blame yourself for this tragedy - you were there for her at the end and she would have felt your love as she passed. Love to you x

Coral will have her angel wings by now and she'll be safe and playing happily over at Rainbow Bridge with all the other TCS cats and kittens

Oh, I am so sorry to read about Coral, what a beautiful baby. Just know that you and Coral are both very blessed to have the time together, even till the end. Angels wings to Coral, and big hugs to you.

Condolences on the sad loss of Coral I can only hope and pray that her tragedy is not in vain - that maybe the driver who struck her will resolve to drive more safely, thereby saving future cats and children. I know that it is difficult not to tell yourself, " If only I would have....", but if it's any comfort, just try remind yourself that what's done is done, and it must have been her time to go over to her true reward. I don't say these words flippantly, but having endured the grief of losing not only very special cats, 3 wonderful horses, an unborn son, but also the loss of a very close 18yo nephew, my eldest brother and my former husband. My nephew loves cats, and I am sure that Coral will be surrounded by loving people and animals, never lacking for scritches and hugs.

Like others have said, don't blame yourself. It was just an accident. Rest In Peace Coral.
