I thought it would be fun to start a thread where we all add some of those trivia facts we know. It could be about anything. For example, did you know the career home run record in baseball is 755 and Hank Aaron currently owns the record?

If you want to post a website where this is more info, feel free, but google and wikipedia can probably quench your thirst for more info about a particular fact. I'll start off.

Did you know that using two spaces after a period (or similar punctuation) in a sentence is no longer necessary in the computer age? It came into practice during the days of the typewriter when an extra space was helpful to pickup the start of a new sentence.

"One glass of milk can give a person a .02 blood alcohol concentration (BAC) on a Breathalyzer test. Thatâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s enough in some states for persons under age 21 to lose their drivers license and be fined."

This is great. I love learning little bits of trivia. I edited my original post. I don't think it matters how many facts you add in your post.

did you know that pigs don't have sweat glands? that's why they roll in the mud, to cool down, so the saying "sweat like a pig" really makes no sense!

Canada actually has 2 national sports. Prior to 1994 Lacrosse was Canada's official sport. As Canada is most often associated with Ice Hockey, a law was passed in 1994 declaring Ice Hockey as Canada's national winter sport and Lacrosse as the national summer sport.

If someone tells you you eat like a bird, you really should take offense as most species eat 1 and a half times their body weight daily.

On the other hand, if someone calls you a birdbrain, you should be pleased as birds are some of the smartest and most resourceful of wildlife.

When Frank Grimes visited Homer Simpson's house, lobster was served.

It is believed that Shakespeare was 46 around the time that the King James Version of the Bible was written. In Psalms 46, the 46th word from the first word is shake and the 46th word from the last word is spear.

The largest number of children born to one woman is recorded at 69. From 1725-1765, a Russian peasant woman gave birth to 16 sets of twins, 7 sets of triplets, and 4 sets of quadruplets.

Here... or There... Hmmm
Well, I have two bits of trivia knowledge!!

On the show Gilligans Island, though his first name was never used, Gilligans first name was Willie.

There is one sentance in the English language that you can say but not write.
(this is going to be hard)... First we have to agree that there are three variations of one word.
To - Too - and Two
the sentance is: There are three _______'s in the English language! (is it To's, Too's, or Two's--- not any of them!)

Phew... Did anyone get that?

But did you know?

Astronauts are not allowed to eat beans before they go into space
because passing wind in a spacesuit damages them.
