new here from WV

Hi all! I just joined because I absolutely adore cats and have never been a member of a site devoted just to cats, and I can see from reading some of the posts that this place is going to be a wealth of information.
I am the mommy to 6 cats, 3 dogs, 1 betta fish and 2 guppies, and any amount of foster kitties at any given time. My crew is:

Captain-4year old black DLH, adopted at 8 weeks
Kahlua-4 year old black DLH and Captains sister, adopted at 8 weeks
Sushi-3 year old DSH/Siamese mix, found as a stray at about 6 months
Bert-1 year old DSH orange tabby, adopted at 10 weeks old
Olivia-10 month old DSH gray tabby, foster failure because no one wants older kittens, so I kept her
Henry-1 year old Bengal mix, foster failure because he is a headcase and no one wants him and his issues.
Sage-4 year old greyhound mix, adopted at 4 months old
Sydney-4 year old beagle mix, adopted at 12 weeks old
Taz-1.5 year old Golden Retriever who used to belong to my aunt and uncle but became mine last October.

I also have a 12 week old Bengal mix foster right now who goes to get spayed on Tuesday then goes to her new home, and two 6 week old black DSH kittens who were thrown out of a car literally right in front of me at Petco this evening, so they are staying in my spare bathroom for the time being. It's nice to meet you all!

Someone threw 2 kittens out at Petco!!!?? That's horrible!

howdy neighbor! yeah, I went after work tonight, I work at Chuck's Furniture, to buy bloodworms for my betta fish and saw a car slow down and then speed away. When I got up to the door at petco the babies were sitting there. They are super cute. here's a few pics if I have figured it out right.

Ok I didn't figure it out. I'm going to go reread that post and I'll post later.

Those poor babies! What kind of person would do such a thing? Thank goodness you were there to save them!

welcome to TCS, u are right this site is very informative also everyone here is so nice too, also it can be fun at times too !!! Ur furkids sound wonderful, I cant wait to see pics, we pics here ! I wish we had some bengal mixes up here what can i say although I am a softy for anything with fur and I am glad to see I am not the only one with 6 cats 4 came within the last year as well what can I say we love kitties and when u go somewhere to get one u just cant come home with one, u have to come home with 2 And bless ur heart for grabbing those two little babies up at petco, how can people be sooo mean !!! How just totally maddening about those people just throwing kitties out like that how can they live with themselves Then on the other side theres amazing people like you who sort things out at the other end

Well bet things are pretty busy at your house, they sound such a wonderful bunch, love to see some photos when you get chance we just love photos here.

BLESS YOU for caring so much for cats (and others, too, of course!) and putting your caring into positive action. All 9 of us are rescued, too, indoor-only and spayed/neutered, of course! Our meowmy has loved, lived with, rescued, and advoCATed for cats all her life, and she tells us all the time that we are her reasons for living and the sunshine in her life. You are wonderful! and we hope to see you all here a lot. Photos are welcome on the site, too -- and we hope you'll introduce us to your family through pix soon!
