There's no place like home
We just bought our house last year and we really haven't painted over the bland neutral colors that were left for us. But we did paint the exterior (went from canary yellow to a hot chocolate brown) and are in the process of remodeling the kitchen. The floors are terra cotta and the walls are goldenrod. Haven't picked out the backsplash tile yet nor the curtains so I don't know how it will end.

Of course you do!

I have a dark purple (called "passion fruit") bathroom.

My living room is a deep gold.

My kitchen has hideous dated paisly wallpaper...soon to be painted terra cotta!

My son's bedroom is red.

Our bedroom is a wierd orange...also hideous. Would like to try a neat neutral mocha type thing in there.

I love the current colors in my house. I only have one room not painted, and it's so full of shelves you can't see the walls too much anyway! Though I do have a leopard print rug in there!

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y255/LilacGlory7/100_1541.jpg
Living Room and Kitchen (open to eachother): Sandy brown with cranberry accents in living room, and a deep rustic red, sage green and burnt/organic yellow accents,

Cat Bathroom: a soft but deeper pastel blue with white accents

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y255/LilacGlory7/100_1821.jpg
Human Bathroom: 'Froggy' green with white and purple greyed out just a twinge.

Bedroom: Same sandy brown as living room with gold granite sparkles in the paint, white bedding with purple, blue, and tanish lilacs. (but mostly purple)

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y255/LilacGlory7/100_0330.jpg
Dh's study: grey with silver glaze sponge painting and black and silver accents. The bookshelf in the picture does not match!

My husband has forbidden all pinks and purples unless we have a daughter and it's for her room.
My husband was all about nothing girly...inspite of the fact he married a WOMAN! But then we ended up buying a bigger bed....and whoops! I had a brand new never used king size comforter with the dreaded flowers all over it! (Which I had bought in HS!) I won!

Living Room- a sand color with white trim
Kitchen- wallpaper, and white painted trim
The Dining Room/ Office- it's really Colins office
is the same color as the first guest bedroom with wallpaper trim in the middle and white trim as well
Master Bathroom- wallpaper with white trim
Master Bedroom- this gorgeous caramel color with white trim- i love out bedroom!!!!
First other bedroom (the one i want to be our nursery when we have kids) is a pale yellow ( when i change it to a nursery- i'm thinking eithor sage green or a deeper yellow)
Second guest bedroom - it's a pretty medium blue color with white walls- i like that room a lot too!
Guest bathroom- this hideous blue/green color
I HATE IT!!!! As soon as i get the chance i want to redo it entirely! It nausiates me

(at my mom's/mine duplex- my old room was midnight blue - still my favorite bedroom color- it's GORGEOUS!!! Reminds me of the ocean, the kitchen was country green, the dining room was a peach color, bathroom peach with gold that we sponged on it- gorgeous! and the other rooms were white)

I'm really not a huge fan of the wallpaper in the house right now- definitely not what i would have picked out but it was in before colin moved in. If we stay in this house i'd eventually like to change it or paint it. But since Colin is selling his other house in VA Beach (he has two- he bought when he was in the navy the one in Va Beach and the one here) He's selling the one in VA Beach- so as soon as he gets a good offer- we're thinking about selling this one too getting a bigger house and putting the leftover $ in savings. We dunno yet. I'm content to stay here (i grew up in a tiny 2 bedroom duplex- size doesn't matter to me) but since he's able to get a bigger one- i think for our future family (if i'm able to have kids
) a little more room wouldn't hurt anything. So we'll see- if we do move i want to pick out the color pallets if it's not already done.

Lets see...
Our bedroom is Ralph Lauren Denin faux finish a faded denim technique with a special brush and stenciled seams!!
Spare bedroom is a beige with a faux finish done with a fan shaped artist brush and a border that has a forest theme.
My office/craft room-another faux technique with three colors of green and a border that has a gardening theme.
Master bathroom-a coffee with cream color/wainscoating in creamy white on bottom half
Hallway light yellow with a lighter yellow rag roll on top
Kitchen- Benjamin Moore's "creamy orange"-looks like a dreamscicle!!
Powder room-med blue another faux technique also
Loving room/foyer =-first coat on of Benjamin Moore's "Audobon Russet"-WOW!!
Family room-base was Benjamin Moore's Concord Ivory with another faux technique of two lighter colors on top (rolled and ragged)
Powder room-Wainscoating creamy white again-top half was pumpkin color toned down with left over beige and flecked with metallic copper and green feathering!!
I am painting the garage a mix of whitish colors and started the basement painting too!! The bathroom down there is cream with a checkerboard stencil of blue/yellow/brown.
Whew!!!!!!

The whole condo is done in a blue so pale, it may as well be white, I hate it!
I can't wait to be able to start remodelling.
We have a combination of 18 inch and 12 inch cermanic tile in toasted almond waiting to go in the kitchen, I want to redo the countertops as well, I'm thinking a Tuscan theme.
My bathroom (the half bath) will be done in two inch forest green tile with butter yellow grout and ecru walls, haven't yet decided on the basin or vanity.
The full bath will be getting rich blue two inch tile floor with gray grout, he hasn't decided on the wall color.
The blue tile will also be in the tub surround, and I hope to replace the crappy fiberglass tub with a porcelin tub, clawfoot if I can find one.

The downstairs hall has cherry wood pergo waiting to be installed and I'm sill trying to talk him into a rich, warm color for the walls.

My kitchen is a bright but yet deep shade of red.
My livingroon/den is a bright sea blue color.
My bedroom id a soft lavender/grey color.
My bathroom is bright glossy white.

We rent but our landlord lets us paint as long as we paint it back to white before we move out. We are thinking of painting the living room more of a 1950 era turqoise. We are still debating it though. I think it would lighten the place up a bit plus would look so hot with the red.

Livingroom, diningroom and top and lower hall: Farrow and Ball "Sand"

Kitchen: F&B "Etruscan Red" and white

guest room: a light sunstraw colour
guest room: a dark cranberry

my room: plaster effect pink (the previous owners painted it like this. the ceilings in this room are 18' high as they removed part of the attic to make cathedral ceilings. I will have to hire a painter eventually to paint the room. My first quote was $1000 to do this due to the size! I'm just living with it for now)

bathroom: coffee cream

all the trim is white.

Window Trim outside: black
Front door: wine red
