Rabbit-like coat on a Bengal?

I know there's been a lot of talk about 'glitter' and I know my Bengal has a lot of that in his coat.. however, I was wondering on another note I'm not sure if it's related or not, but I've noticed since we got him that his coat is EXTREMELY soft. Everyone that pets him says the same thing, he feels just like a rabbit, that's actually his nickname now (he's also got big ears because hes only 8 mo. so he hasn't grown into them yet lol) but is this a normal/common thing with the blue Bengal?

These are a little old, that was when he was about 6 months old.

I have a marble bengal and his has the smoothest pelt. It's like rubbing silk. Everyone comments about how soft Takoda's fur/pelt feels. I always tell him he is the sleek machine!
