Oh heck, it a real bummer when all sorts of crappy things hit you all at the same time

You´ve got my best thoughts & wishes whizzing across from Spain
and I am sure Sonic will be fine, as someone has already mentioned, his bones will be very supple at his young age and he'll soon be on the mend and springing about your house like a 'mad un' again

You go get 'em at that case, I am sure you´ve prepared real well
We are all be wishing you a positive outcome

Don't feel bad, I'm sure Sonic knows it was an accident. Sending tons of {{{{{Healing vibes}}}}} your way.

Well I ended up going to the vet as well this morning - I didn't have to go to the court for a hearing or anything, just to deliver a form, but I was told to go to the wrong court and I'm going to try to get some better advice before doing anything. It's just a stupid disputed debt, not a criminal matter or anything like that, but a right pain in the behind.

Sonic is putting a bit more weight on his foot today but it's swollen and obviously painful (he bit me when I was trying to examine it) so off we went to the vet. She said he could have a broken bone and we could have x-rays done if we wanted but the treatment would be the same whether it was a small fracture or just bruising - rest and anti-inflammatories. The bones involved are too tiny to set or pin in any way so we didn't get x-rays in the end - just an anti-inflammatory tablet and we have to give him an eighth every day and keep him from running around for a couple of weeks

That'll be fun
I remember when Mosi was neutered and they told me to try and stop him jumping around too much when I got him home - yeah right - no chance!

Glad the little fella seems to be ok and I hope you get your financial stuff sorted out.

He was so sweet to us last night, even right after it happened he was curling up on us to sleep. I was worried he wouldn't sleep well if his foot was sore but he slept fine, just wasn't as lively when he woke up (still ended up with all his toys in the bed tho
)

The finances are driving me insane, I can pay it off if I remortgage which in theory should be quick and easy, but can't remortgage with this hanging over me it's nuts, I just want to get it sorted out. I can sign the flat over to Nate and he can get the mortgage to pay it off, but I don't have sufficient ID in my married name and the mortgage lender won't accept ID in my maiden name with a marriage certificate
so I can't sign it over to him until I have ID. I phoned the CAB and usually they are really good but I realised I knew more about it than the advisor I spoke to. I am sick of mortgage advisors, trying to get my name put on utility bills to get proof of address, phoning CAB, phoning courts, and worrying about it all.
It should, technically, be an easy matter to put right, but it's turned into a complete
nightmare.

It's like I own over half of my flat outright, I want to turn a tiny portion of my 'property assets' into a bit of cash so I can sort this
mess out, we can afford to do so, why is it so blinking difficult?

I'm hoping he's just gotten a bad bruise and that he'll be just fine!

I know what it is like to feel that everything negative is crashing down on you at once. Just remember to breath, one thing at a time, one day at a time. Hang in there, you and Sonic will both be ok, I just know it!

Thanks! I actually love my maiden name because it's really unusual, but after having it for 35 years I was very tired of always having to spell it 3 times for other people and still have them spell and pronounce it wrong. I didn't think changing it would cause this many problems

Good to read Sonic is doing better. Its terrible the looks that our cats give us one we have stepped on or cause them to injure themselves. Hope your finance problem resolves quickly.

well, other than my maiden name being "my" name, its not the best
people always spell it wrong too, but getting married than divorced with in 3 years and having to change my name to and from was more hassle than I ever want to deal with again!

I'm glad to hear Sonic doesn't have a major injury, and hope his foot feels better soon. I'm sending vibes that your financial matters are soon sorted out, and that you can cut through all the red tape.

I do sympathise with the ID problems - I was having terrible problems for a while because I didn't have a permanent address - my apartment in the UK was rented out and I was renting a house in Sarajevo with all the bills going to the landlord. And no-one in the UK would accept a letter written by a Bosnian landlord! In the end I got the British Ambassador to write something that proved I was who I said I was and why. I hope your problems get sorted soon. Hugs to Sonic too.

Hope things get straightened out for you, Epona. What a mess things become sometimes, and getting ahold of the right person is SO frustrating.
