Poor Ike! He seems to be suffering from some sort of identity crisis. Ike isn't sure if he's a dog, a cat or, a person.

Of course, he does the usual dog things: barking at strangers, getting into the trash, slobbering.

He seems to have developed some cat behaviors: batting around empty cigarette packs and chasing and playing with bugs. He, also, tries to sit up on the back of the couch but, he's too big.

As for the people part - he thinks that the couch in the Arizona room is his! When I want to sit or lay on it, I have to DRAG him off by his collar! He, then runs to Bill, as if to say, "Make Mom give me back my spot!"

I realize that Ike isn't going to be a Rhodes Scholar but, he should know what he is. He did spend the first 2 1/2 years of his life with 6 other dogs. 4 1/2 months of living with Bill, me and the cats have Ike trying to be three species, in one.

It would have to be a BIG litter box. Ike weighs 85 lbs. and seems to excrete that much, per week. Bill has a pretty big job, policing that back corner of our yard!
