Thanks for the vibes, guys.

Hate to put a damper on things, but the mother just called to say that it's not covenient for me to pick up Lucy after work today. What a surprise.

I'm so fed up with this woman and tired of being patient and nice even if it's for the sake of the cat.
Doesn't she realize that her indeciveness and selfishness is effecting other people and the cat that she claims to care so much about?

She did say she'll tomorrow to see if that will work better, but I'm not counting on it. I just want to get Lucy out of there and be done with this woman!

I for Heaven sake, what's up with the Woman?
I don't even know her and she's starting to tick me off

If she truely cared about the welfare of the cat she'd do what's best for Lucy and that would be to give Lucy a chance at a loving, caring home!

I think she honestly cares about Lucy, but if that's the case, just keep her already. At least she's now spayed, up to date on her shots and we know she's healthy. Could be the daughter is still pressuring her to give Lucy up. I don't know. I just feel so bad for Lucy. The poor cat is caught in the middle. That's what upsets me the most.

And, the latest is:

I still don't have Lucy. Didn't hear from the mother all week, then had a message from her last night that I could pick her up whenever I wanted, just give her a call. Meanwhile, the rescue has space for one of the cats and wants me to drop her off at their vet tomorrow morning, after which she'll go directly to Petsmart for their weekend adoption fair. If I can work it out to pick up Lucy after work today, I'll send her along first just so I can be done dealing with this crazy family. If not, Little Lucy will get the space. She'll be more traumatized than her mother by being at Petsmart, but with some attention, she'll be just fine. The rescue hopes to have space for the other cat after this weekend.

So, please keep those vibes coming that things work out one way or the other and that this leads to wonderful new homes for these sweet girls. Thanks guys!

Thanks for the vibes, guys.
Things didn't work out as planned, though. Long story, but basically there was some miscommunication between the rescue group coordinator and me about when I could drop Lucy off. So, I'm now waiting to hear from her about available space. Please keep the vibes coming. I really need to get these girls settled somewhere. They both deserve homes where they'll be appreciated for the sweet, beautiful kitties that they are.

Aww, fingers crossed for them both. As I have said more than once this week, sometimes people are the downside of rescue - as much as we need them to adopt our cats, you get these irritating, frustrating people who end up making you spend loads of time and them do very little. But, we have to be nice to them till we get the cat into care.

Oh are you kidding me? I'm so sorry for you. This is the ordeal that never ends.

Continued good vibes for you and the girls.

Hey guys, just a quick update and request for more vibes for the girls. It's kind of short notice, but the local rescue I've been working with has space for one of the cats. So, I'm going to pick up Big Lucy at lunch, take her back to my house, then drop her off at the rescue's vet after work. From there, she'll most likely go to their adoption center at a local Petsmart. As sweet, friendly as adaptable as Big Lucy is, she'll do just fine.

Little Lucy is still with me and I'm getting way too attached. She's adorable - so funny and playful. I've got her lined up to take part in adoption fairs through another rescue every weekend for the rest of the month. It's going to be so hard to let her go, but I know there's somebody out there that can give her a wonderful, loving home and needs this adorable little girl in their life.

So, please keep the vibes coming. I'll keep you posted. Thanks!

Thanks, guys!

Guess what? I finally have Big Lucy!
Surprisingly, the mother had her ready to go when I went to pick her up and seemed fine with letting her go. Finally. What a relief. She's spending the afternoon in my spare bedroom and I'll take her to the vet after work. She's such a sweetie. I spent a little time holding her before I came back to the office. Whoever adopts Big Lucy is going to be one lucky person and get lots of love. Same with Little Lucy too, of course.

More later!
