hello,
my boy ceasar is suppose to be a snowshoe siamese. when he gets picked up or nervous be gets out of breath & starts wheeze and his heart beats really fast. At the same time he generally doesn't seem to mind being picked up.asthma maybe? Also I read that when cats have extra toes and shortened tails it can be from inbreeding.he's has a bob tail & six toes on all of his paws and is rather dopey.
but cute none the less in his ways.???? and could the wheezing thing be related? he's only 4. had him since he was 1 and aways had that problem.

I would suggest having him checked for asthma. I believe that the bob tail and the extra toes were spontaneous mutations long ago, and some cats inherited those genes--they aren't necessarily inbred. Polydactylism (extra toes) is not all that uncommon.
