Ok, So I have no idea where this thread should be posted, so if it needs to be moved please do so.

I recently got one of those funny emails that has pictures of cats doing things only this one shows all kinds of cats that have been painted. Now I have a few questions on this subject:

First of all, are these real? Some of them are pretty convincing.

Second, is there any type of paint that can be used on cats that is not going to hurt them?

Third, I wonder what the cats think of this?

Here are some examples:

so cant advise and really I dont want to, I dont want to know anything about cat-painting. Maybe its supposed to be a joke, but aint funny to me.

I think cats are beautiful enough without paint

Wow, well I guess that solves that mystery. That's a neat site, by the way, I had no idea any such thing existed

several of them look like they have been photoshopped. I dont get the point of coloring your cat... It seems pretty pointless and a BIG watse of time. Not to mention, I dont think that the cat would enjoy it too much.

While we're on the subject, what about that book "Why Cats Paint"? I've never actually read it, but there's a cat on the cover smearing paint on the walls with a paw. Is that real? I wonder, because one of my friends said she had a cat who would get her feet dirty, and carefully hop up to her fresh linen bed, and place one pawprint carefully in the middle of a pillow, and then look at it. LOL!

Also reminds me of turtlekiss.com.

Edit: Oh okay! Just saw the snopes page. LOL

Wow, these pics are down-right freaky. Can you imagine a cat sitting still long enough to do anything like this?
Hopefully, these are all nothing but altered photos.

But according to something I read there is a book and there IS someone painting cats and made a book of it. If it's non-toxic.. wow... some of them are just beautifully done.
