My birthday was in January and my friend Neil kept telling me he had bought me something that I would love, and he said he would give it to me when it was ready....well today we went to lunch and he said he couldn't bring the gift, but he gave me a card that said "Happy Birthday" and it had a story about a kitty who was abused and went to the Humane Society and got better and found a new home....well then it said "A contribution has been made in your honor from Neil."
Well that wasn't even the best part...at our Humane Society, they have bricks you can purchase with your name or whatever you want it to say, and they actually put it into their wall. I have my own brick, IN the wall of the Humane Society!!! And it's for me AND Smudge! He knows she's my favorite so he got her name put on too! Plus, the proceeds go to the Humane Society. Wasn't that sweet??? It made me tear up, just the thoughtfulness of that gift. He knows me so well!

My daughter and her husband bought me and Jimmy a Memory brick in memory of our beloved Sambo for Christmas.

The shelter that she helps at (BARL) is a no kill shelter, and they have moved into their new building now.

All well...if I ever cry in public, I just tell people I have 5 cats & they seem to forget about me crying!
They then think I'm just plain crazy, but that's OK...they know me in Crazy-ville!
