Wellness just came out with a new line of cat food and I read about it on their website. They say that their Healthy Weight formula Healthy Weight has "maintained lower protein as higher protein would increase fat and calorie levels". This doesn't make sense to me. How can high protein increase fat levels?

Also, does anyone know the ingredients and guaranteed analysis for their new grain free diet, Core?

I don't know anything but am looking forward to reading responses. There are people here who are so knowledgeable and kind.

there are two schools of thought in wt mgmt ...

one is what I call the "jenny craig" which is low cal low fat moderate carb s and protein

the other is the "atkins" which is high protein and fat low to no carbs

a newer one is a moderate in all three fat carb and protein

I find the last two work best but some cats do well on low fat low cal diets
