I know there has been some discussion about vaccines and possible cancer later in life related to the vaccines. While researching the subject I found an article that attributes the same issues to the implanted microchips.

Does anyone have any more info about this subject? I know at least one of the shelters here in the city microchip all the cats they adopt out and was wondering if this wasn't such a good thing after all?

I hadn't heard of this but it makes a lot of sense to me. Any kind of tissue trauma can lead to development of cancer. My friend's cat developed a fibrosarcoma that was probably related to the subcutaneous fluids they've been giving him daily since 2003 as treatment for chronic kidney disease. (He had surgery in July and is doing fine now.) So it's not just vaccines that can cause problems.
