Not sure what to think yet
However, a few years ago I moved from a normal cat flap to a magnetic cat flap for Guinness to stop local cats coming in my flat and spraying / eating his food etc.

Since moving house in November, things were going okay until
the local massive tom cat has been getting in!!!! He has a magnetic cat flap too thus can come into my house and eat Guin's food and also spray!

For the past 3 weeks Guin has been kept in and is only allowed out when I am there now and he is not a very happy boy considering he has been an in / out cat for 3 years and can come and go as he pleases.

I wonder if this cat flap is the answer to my cat flap problems

What do you all think?

I like the idea of it. You don't have to worry about your cat losing his collar and not being able to get back inside.

thats just the thing ! If I can get them to ship to Spain, think I´ll be ordering one ! We have the same problem with a tom thats keep calling, mostly at night, so now I´ve started locking the cat-flap at night, but it has definately upset at least 2 of my kits

Let us know if you get one

Your story sounds like Lizzie's on that web page! hee hee. I noticed it says UK and European microchips, so North Americans should inquire before purchasing. You're from the UK so this shouldn't be a problem.

That is a great idea and should solve several problems about cat flaps. I just checked a couple of my Bosnian chip numbers and it said they were OK.

I think its a pretty good idea..especially if you get your cat microchipped. Even though the microchip is $60 (well at least around here it is), at least it has another use to make the cost seem even more worthwhile.
