I was just over at the Fur Pictures section oooo-ing and ahhhh-ing so many beautiful kitties! So many of y'all have taken such wonderful close-up shots of your kits...it amazes me how you can get so close and yet stay so clear! The one that comes to mind is Quill luv's photo of her kitty that was laying on her...how did you get that soooo close & clear?

I guess what I'd really like to know is what kind of camera are y'all using...camera phones maybe? that's the only thing I can think of that you could get so close...like on your chest...and yet have it be so clear at the same time.

Thanks for your replies...

If you take a pic with a good quality digital camera you can easily zoom in on the image and obtain a close up - you don't always need to get that close when taking the pic

Yes, but just look at this pic again...

The kitty & the camera had to be on the photographer's chest almost...I think the post said something about the kitty being on her (but I'm going to go double check it just to be sure). Sure hope Quill luv sees this thread later on today, as she is the only one who can tell me how she got such a great shot!

Ok, I got it...this is what she said:

My sweet boy, in my arms.

So yeah, that was pretty close up to me.

lol, I'm using a Nikon Coolpix L-1 right now, and yep, he was in my arms so what I was doing was I was trying to get a good pic of him while he wasn't struggling, and there was a sort of "magic moment" and just the way it all came out was perfect. I used the regular zoom with macro and it works wonders.

Macro...that's the secret I think then. Thanks so much for your info! I'm glad you saw my post, I was hoping you would. That's just such a beautiful picture...and such a beautiful kitty
