his whiskers is really long!

I never noticed till I took this pic today that Puffs whiskers are really really long! Look.. do you think that could mean he's older than 10 months? We were never really certain about his age. They (the shelter) insisted he was under a year though.

It could....but it could also just mean he has long whiskers
Isabella's are the same way- her's are super long too
He looks between 10 months to a year and a half for me. He's still a young handsome guy with lots of years to go! You can't really determine age based only on whiskers.
What did your vet guestimate his age as?

no not at all- whisker size can very depending on the breed, size, and other factors that affect the kitty. A more accurate determmination of age would be to check the teeth and other things like that. A vet can usually give a good age guestimate
But no- Whisker length doesn't determine age. Length can vary based on the individual kitty.

I actually measured Ivory's whiskers a few weeks ago, 7 inches!
And here I was thinking they were long as compensation for missing an eye.
