So im feeding my kitten Max Kitten foods and only NOW realized that the first ingredient is "CHICKEN BROTH"!
I read that the FIRST ingredient should be the main source of meat, CHICKEN, TURKEY, ETC...
Well, the second is chicken, followed by other grains...

Im so confused about this FOOD thing still!!
Its like, nothing ever meets the requirements!? Even the expensive kitten foods...

yes broth does usually appear first some cans you get meat .. but since the total wt of liquid in a wet can is 70-85 % broth is fine first

Broth as the first ingredient listed is absolutely fine for a wet food since wet food is about 75% water by weight. What you want to see is an identified meat ingredient - chicken, turkey, beef, lamb, whatever - listed as the first "solid" ingredient, and certainly listed before any grains.
