I was just putting some lotion on my legs, and I had a big plop of it on my shin and was busy applying some on my other leg...so of course Trout runs up and cuddles against my lotiony leg and gets lotion all over herself..I got most of it off, but of course she is now licking it nice and thoroughly..

Do you think she will be alright?

Silly girl, her fur is already soft

If you got most of it off, I think she'll be OK.

I dribbled a drop of hand sanitizer on Junior yesterday...and he freaked out

Just give him a comb and a wipe with paper towel. One would like to think that hand lotion doesn't contain crazy amounts of toxins as we put it right on our skin.

What would be worse would be Neet hair removal or a face peel product on fur!!

She wanted to smell like you... right down to your lotion.
I'm sure she'll be fine though!

I called my after hours vet (he's a good friend) to run those ingredients by him. He said Trout should be just fine since she only got a little bit. (he said it's normal if she vomits after having a little trace amount of that in her system- but that she should be completly fine- no need to worry since she didn't get into an entire bottle or anything like that.
) / He's a great vet -treats all of my fosters and furbabies for after hour emergencies
I wouldn't worry.

LOL I think we should have a daily adventures thread about all of our silly kitties. Glad most of it came off though. Atleast she didn't decide it would be a good idea to walk through paint or something like that as a privous cat of mine did and then got her tail in the paint and started twitching her tail getting paint everywhere.

Awww!

I remember when I first got Luna, she wanted love while I was dying my hair. A little drop of red dye got on her fur at the nape of her neck.

A couple days later was her follow-up vet appointment. The red dot became an immediate concern...but quickly laughed off when I explained what happened

She had that red dot for another month .

You know, now that she's got lotion on, she's gonna go bosy surfing around any linoleum/tile/hardwood floors in your home!
