Unbelievable!

Is that sick or what, like the owner won't discover it sooner or later.

I'm so disgusted that I can't make a rational comment.

I hope that person never touches/owns another animal again!

When I saw the post I didn't think much of it because glue is used rather then stiches some times. The case is just crazy!! Why didn't the groomer take the dog to the vet right away! If my cat's ear fell off I think I would faint. I'm glad this groomer is shut down.

What the is wrong with some people?

That's just wrong, the poor dog.

Also, why would someone take a pet to an unlicensed groomer?

They probably didn't stop check to or think to check into it.
A lot of people assume that just because such place like that is open for business they know what they are doing. Unfortunately.

This one time when my ear fell off I just superglued it back on..I mean isnt that normal?

oh my!
Well although pratical for a nicknack....not a real dog.
Hopefull this is one pet owner her learned a valuable lesson about choosing the right groomer.

I worked at a grooming place about three years ago as a receptionist, and we did have incidents every rare once in a while where a dog got cut, but certainly nobody ever cut anything off!! And we always fessed up. Injuring a dog and not telling the owner about it is reprehensible. People who cut dog's ears off should NOT groom dogs.

That is just aweful!!!! Had that poor pup's ear got infected-an infection could have easily killed a little dog like that. I seriously hope the dog owner sues that "groomer!"

Thank you for putting a bit of humor into this. I actually found it a bit funny, because I thought it was some kind of joke.

But seriously, what kind of mental health problems does a person have to have to cut off a dogs ear then glue it back on?!?!? Who groomed the dog, a 4 year old?!?

I remember when I was a kid we had a Shih Tzu, and sometimes I would groom her myself. Once she she a nasty knot on her ear, and I actually cut her a tad bit. I saw that drop of blood and I almost fainted, I wanted to die!

An eye for an eye....cut the groomer's ear off & glue it back on!

No doubt. I can't say what I'd want to do to that groomer if it were my dog.

If that had been my dog, that groomer, myself, and a Louisville Slugger would have had a heart to heart.

I have a question about this, how does one find out if a groomer is licensed, and who normally does the licensing?

I want to make sure I make a mental note of it, so if I ever do need a groomer I know what to look for.

Oh that poor little dog! I can't believe someone would do this and think they could just get away with it! I hope they can prosecute somehow.

Hmm, good point. I think it's (round here at least) one of those businesses where you don't need to be licensed or have any official qualifications. Pretty much anyone can set up a grooming business. That's why word of mouth is so important. I'd know if I had a dog to be groomed, I'd be asking several dog owners for their recommendations.

The simplest thing to do is ask "Are you licensed?"

If they falsify that they are, you can report them to the state/city/whomever they're faking they have a license from.

I'm sure that if you run a web search, you can also find a list of pet groomers that are licensed in your area.

IMO, everyone has to be licensed for me to take my cats anywhere. It'd be the same idea of taking my cat to a vet that didn't have a vet license...why would trust someone who isn't licensed?

Ugh that's awful. Seriously. I have no more words.
