The vet went ahead with the spay!
My poor Mixy was very nervous. She ran out of the examing room and they had to catch her. She has always been very timid. It actually took us a while to get to touch her when she was a kitten.
This vet that I take my cats to is a bit rude. I tried to explain to him why I needed her to be spayed now (she had just had a litter in Sept., then Dec.) but he didn't really listen to me. The only thing he said was that she wasn't going to be able to nurse the kitty anymore.
I called a while ago to ask if the surgery was over but the girl told me that there weren't any news yet.
Please send good vibes to my Mixy!

Angie...I am sending out tons of good spay vibes. What you did was absolutely right for your girl given that she has already had 2 litters so close together. Let us know when you find out an update.

Just in case, be sure you have some pet nursing bottles and kitten milk replacer on hand if you have to hand feed them.

I hadn't thought about buying the baby bottles with cat milk!

Since he stays in the little storage room on the backyard, I have not seen him since yesterday, Wednesday.
I hope that he is ok.
Thanks for the vibes!

Yay! It's great to celebrate a spay.

And actually, more than likely she will still be able to nurse without any problem. Even if the milk ducts are cut (which is unusual - in all the nursing cats I've seen spayed, I've only seen this happen once), usually only the supply to one nipple is affected. So no worries - everyone will be fine!

but I'm more worried here. As I've told you, she is very nervous and timid. The vet's assistant had to ask me to go take her out of the cage because she wouldn't let him get her. She did come with me.
Now as soon as we got home, she ran from the garage. If she goes to her ususal hiding place, I'm afraid of her jumping the fence!
Thanks.
