While I was standing there talking to the girls that work there, the phone rang and it was the owner of the Shelter there in town, and they were scheduling for the vet to come out and do their "daily ritual"

I guess it just seemed to really upset me, hearing them talk about it.

And one of the dogs that had been there so long(reminded me alot of my dog Amy) got PTS yesterday

I hate knowing that their time is coming...and I cant do anything aout it.

I understand that so very well. That is why I decided to go get a cat from the animal shelter. These were cats that were rescued by the animal care and control peole, and after a mandatory wait for claiming, were put up for adoption. If they were not adopted, then they would be put down. Right after I adopted sugar and spice, another couple were there to adopt another cat, so in about 30 mins, they adopted 3 cats. Now they all have a loving home, and their lives all just got better.

Oh that would have upset me too.............in a world where we can put men on the moon, etc, why can't we find a way to help all animals instead of killing them..........I understand why, the overpopulation, not enough room reason, but I hate it!
Those poor little animals didn't ask to be born.......I'm just so glad that Jerry found TP&B........

No you can't take them all, but what you can do is volunteer. Volunteers are a huge need for shelters, especially no kill shelters. I get so much more from those kitties than they get from me. There are no words to experess the joy of seeing a wonderful loving animal go to a new loving home.
