So on the radio this morning the hosts were talking about a main character being written out of the show after tonight's episode....
and the network even issued a statement confirming it.

Who do you think it will be?????

I'm really at a loss. They just couldn't get rid of Grey?!?

I'm voting Burke.

I honestly have no idea! I have to think it might be Izzy though, she really doesn't have any story line going, ya know?

I have to say, this is one show I don't watch..... I hear great things about it....but have never watched it at all....I know I am one of the very few. But I do think Patrick Dempsey is way hot.....even with out his riding lawn mower!

I just really hope it's not Merridith(sp??)

It's funny how you get attached to t.v. characters.

I really dont think its her I dont think theyd have much of a show and I do remember hearing that Burkes character is leaving somehow because of all that chaos that was going on backstage so he quit but I heard that a week or 2 ago, I just dont understand why he quit over that whole thing I thought they had worked everything backstage out but I guess not
but ya I am still going with burke I am almost sure I just went and asked my mom and shes not sure its either burke or george that quit but that could have changed by now but I do remember her telling me it was Burke that she heard it on t.v

I hope it's Burke. After what he said about George, he needs to get his butt fired anyway. I can't abide prejudice and bigotry.

Watching the robins sing!
I just started watching Grey's anatomy this year - haven't gone out to get past seasons, but I tend to think it is Burke - based on the problems on the set and the terrible things that some of the other stars were saying about him at (I think) it was emmys or sag awards - anyway, one of those award shows!

I'd like to start off by saying that cliff hangers are the devil!
But they do make for interesting discussion!

I doubt it's Burke....that'd be too obvious and I recently saw an interview w/ Katherine Heigle aka Izzie where she said noone at that time had been fired....these episodes were definitely shot before that.

I'm calling Meredith being technically dead when she's pulled out of the water (I'm sure by McDreamy due to part 1's obvious bathtub foreshadowing and the "knight in shining whatever" comment). I expect she'll be revived by our stunning crew of medical miracle workers and possibly spend the third episode of the arc in an oxygen tent or the like while the doctors (and we at home) hold our breaths waiting for her to regain consciousness or lucidity.

This is just my opinion. I really can't see them killing off Meredith for good. Or anyone for that matter. As far as I know, the cast has all signed 5 yr contracts (with the possible exception of Eric Dane aka Mark Sloan....I'm not sure about him) and unless somebody is fired, I'm thinking the next to die would be Ellis Grey....but Mer has already had a recent mother of a incident (pun intended) w/ Ellis, so I doubt it'd be soon.

As far as Isaiah Washington is concerned, if he had been fired, I really think it would have been confirmed by multiple parties by now. Let's face it, these people have NOT been able to keep any of the other developments in the whole Washington saga under wraps. If he was gone, somebody at ABC would have confirmed it.

If anyone is interested, here is a link to a GA site who has a death watch running:

P.S. did I mention I'm like obsessed with this show?

I don't want anyone to leave. OK so Isiah used a bad word. Why would he leave/get fired? I say McSteamy.

This is what I'm thinking. I mean, they keep saying that they're gonna do something you never thought they'd do... which would be to kill the main character. But I'll bet next week she'll be revived, tho I don't think McDreamy will do it.

I do think Ellis is gonna die. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.

Goes to show how dumb I am. I thought the show was named after the old textbook titled Grey's Anatomy.

I think it might be Burke too but I hope not, I love the relationship between Burke and Christina. I'm getting a little sick of Meridith and wouldn't care very much if we lost her, Sandra Oh (Christina) is the I would most miss if she left. I just love her character, she doesn't take any s*** from anybody.
Then again, maybe it would be Meridith's mom and I don't think she would be missed by anybody except maybe the Chief. Oh well, we will just have to wait and see. I love the show tho.

It's a play on words, the textbook is called Gray's Anatomy (I saw it in the bookstore the other day, wow is it huge). Meredith Grey's last name is spelled differently.
