I don't know but I think every cat on earth loves to do it. I thought about getting one of those cat window perches but since I rent and it looks like you have to put screws in the walls I didn't buy one.

Just pull up a little table or something like that for your sweet kitty/s to use. I don't have any screwed on perches, but there's a lil' table at every window for my gals!

You dont have to put screws in the walls. Neither of my perches require screws.
I was sitting in a lawn chair close to the birdfeeders, trying to get some good pictures of the chickadees, and looked toward the house and saw this....
