Thats absolutely adorable. Mom cat looks as happy as can be. One things for sure though, that pup will always love cats!

I must ask though:

Is that a Rottie pup
Funny how shelter always try to put a breed onto a mutt.

I was wondering the same thing - the only Rottie pups I've ever seen were black or really dark brown - they only had the fawn color on their little behinds/snouts!

Same here, we've had rotts before and have enjoyed their litters...and this is definitely not a full bred rottie! LOL! However, you can see underneath the photo where it says he is a rott mix.

Sweet, sweet story...I'll have to send this one to my hubby!

It is probably a mix or it was their best guess.. it's hard to tell from the pics, though.

This is what a baby rott looks like. This is ''SirVivor'' with my oldest son, Chris...

SirVivor was a little older than the puppy in the article's photo, but rotts look like this from the moment they are born pretty much.

With all due respect this is not the point of the post. Shelters make their best educated guess. Maybe the mom was a rottie and this pup looks like the dad. Whatever the case it's a moot point.

Lets just be glad the pup has this kitty to mother him for awhile since he would have missed out on that experience otherwise.

I didn't Hilda. I just wanted to point out that it's off topic...and doesn't really matter what kind of pup it is. It's still a wonderful and inspiring story.
