If one started, I do apologize!!!

Anyhoo, here are pictures that I took this morning of the snow.

It was nuts! I got home last night around 10 pm, made the "first" footprints and when I left this morning I left a FRESH set of footprints. That's a lot of snow!

Some items in the backyard (just to show the depth):

You can't really see it here, but basically the snow plows in town plowed a "snow wall" down the centers of all the streets, creating a sort of median:

Yay! Snow thread! Great pictures. Since I last posted a snow pic we received a little more snow, we got around 6 inches today!
So here's a few more snow pictures.

Here's a view from the side/front of my house today.

The back view of the snow

Here's me out taking a walk at the bike path near my home the other day, enjoying the snow.

Oops sorry!
I forgot I changed my location.

Anyhoo, SE Michigan. I'm about 20 minutes outside of Detroit.

My boyfriend's work actually closed for the day. I was so jealous !!

It's very snowy in your work and school location. I'm glad I'm not there and happy that I do not have snow pics to post.
Stay warm!

So glad I live in the south and don't have to deal with snow unless I want to. Great pictures. Very pretty!

Went down to the cottage again this weekend. It's been great! All these long lasting sub zero temperatures have made the ice the safest I've ever seen it, and with the little mix of rain we got, made it super smooth for skating.

Man on the ice.

Cassie.... I believe those blankets are not for you.

8:35am. Take picture of car where the boat usually is for comedic effect.

CASSIE~! Aw well, I can't complain, you kept me warm last night.

But it was cold! I had every blanket on the little sofa bed in the living room by the stove, but it was still cold! I am such a sissy though, cause everyone else was fine. I was up three times to replenish the fire overnight, but I slept too long between 5:30 and 8:00 and it went out. Shoot.

Knowing how much you all love snow, I thought I would show you what it is like to be snowed in up in the great white North (ok we aren't that far up, but it is still fairly deep snow in cottage country)

A summer view from the cottage deck

and today

Past the deck, there is a 6 ft drop through the snow and I would try to get someone to stand in it to show but we are all too scared that we won't get back out

and the morning sunrise from the other side of the cottage

and the small cottage across the lake, snowed in

Yikes! North America has really been hit hard this year. We had a blizzard (over 14 inches in less than 24 hours) a few weeks ago, but otherwise no winter. Seriously - we have crocuses, primroses, and tulips blooming, and I give the daffodils another week. Last June it was freezing here, though, and people had their heat on for a few days in August. What's going on?
