Hi everyone,

I have a cat that has always been a talker.
Well tonight we noticed that when she meows, now it sounds very weak, other than that she seems fine.
It's worrying, because it's so weird. I'm wondering of anyone else has run into this issue before?

Thanks so much

Only thing that comes to mind is maybe a cold. I have one cat who will get a cold and be completely miserable with all the obvious symptoms, and another cat who seems totally unaffected, other than a slightly 'hoarse' meow for a couple (maybe 2-3) days.

I'm not sure of other ideas. If it persists or is worrying, or you notice anything else, it wouldn't hurt to call the vet.

Forgot to ask, is she eating/drinking/using litterbox - all normally?

Thanks for the reply,

She seems to be fine, eating fine, wanting treats as usual (we call her a treat *****)
I figured that if she gets worse I'll call the vet.

thanks again!

Yeah, I would watch her closely and see if she has anyother symptoms. Good for you for making the decission to take her in if anything changes.

How old is she? In older cats, a change in voice could possibly be related to hyperthyroidism. Or, it could just be that she's talked so much she gave herself a sore throat!
