I left this ladder out after changing a few light bulbs, as Fred always likes to climb on it. Unfortunatly, about 20 mins. after this photo was taken, Fred fell off the ladder, doing cartwheels on each step as he fell! He appears to be fine (the ladder is only 8 ft. and he broke his fall with each step) and is now sulking over by the heating vent.

Did he fall asleep on top of the ladder? My babies sometimes fall off the TV in the middle of a nap.

Poor Fred! I hope he's not bruised. My two males do the same when the ladder is out and neither is graceful about coming down from it. Give Fred a kiss from me, please.

Poor Fred!

Bird did the same thing a couple of weeks ago, but off the otherside of the ladder, and caught herself on the bars on the way down
. My DH had changed the bulb in the fan light in here (the sunroom, which has a vaulted ceiling). I sat here and watched her go- happened so fast I couldn't do a thing about it
. I jumped up, and other than being embarrassed
, she was fine
. I told my DH that she fell off, and it went back to the basement right away (that was a surprise, too- he loves 'em more than he lets on...no matter how much he gripes sometimes
!)

He seems to have recovered. Hard to tell about bruising as he's wearing a thick fur coat.
But, I haven't seen him on the ladder today! Or in his new Ikea house for that matter....!

I'm not sure if he was sleeping up there or simply trying to climb down. My back was turned when it first happened. I turned when I heard the big racket and only saw him doing cartwheels down the steps.
