Ever since I started that cupcake thread the other day, I have been hungry for choclate cupcakes with homemade choclate icing.

Well tonight I made some, got them all frosted and everything. Now I am gonna see if I can wait until tomorrow to eat some of them.

Not like mine, for the frosting I used a whole box of powdered sugar, a whole stick of real butter, and some cocoa, and some Hersheys syrup.

butter icing makes all the difference. If you can't buy them, I'm sure you could put in a special request at a local bakery. Wait....Do local bakerys exist any more!!?

First off the cupcakes are a box cake, I cheat on them.

For the icing, I take a stick of butter (real butter) and cut it up so it can get soft, then I pour in the sugar and try to mix it up a little, then I add some vanilla and a little tiny bit of milk, just add a little milk at a time. Then I add some cocoa, probably about 2 tablespoons or so. If you want you can add some Hersheys syrup. I use a whole box of powdered sugar too.

And that is it.

Cupcakes - yummmmmm....now I want some too.

Ooh and Kenz, you actually get the baking part of chocolate chip cookies? I gave up on that years ago...I love the dough too much, so they never make it to the over.

Magnolia Bakery in NY has the best cupcakes ever!
Totally worth the lines around the block.

They have a cookbook too so you can make them at home.
