Ok, so I adore Stumpy, but she isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. You can just see she's constantly off with the fairies, constantly does stupid things, and never seems to learn from her mistakes (ie. when she jumps in the bath and sits down, her tooshie gets wet which she doesn't like, yet she constantly does it).

Well the cats always love going into the wardrobe in our bedroom. The other day I got home and the wardrobe door was open ajar. I was sure I'd closed it because I had to get 3 cats out to do so! So I closed it, then Stumpy walked up a few minutes later, went to the middle door, rolled onto her back, and pushed the door open with her front paws!!!

Of course, if she was really smart she'd do it when I wasn't there watching her - because now I know her trick, but I was very impressed all the same!!

She knew exactly what to do to get it open

on the table near the door. She started smacking the door knob with her paws

She didn't have a choice - we were fostering her

But yes, she is definitely smart in her own way....

My bedroom door is a folding door and my cat stormy knows how to open it when she wants out. She actually uses her paws to push it open. Which I don't mind her doing, if she wants out she can get out without me having to get out of bed.

Sushi is like your Stumpy, as in chasing the fairies and in her lala land. Well, we think that she has learned how to unscrew things. My father has this sound system thing he has been suppose to take to church. We be sitting hearing her and Cuddles playing on it and the next thing we know is Sushi is playing with a screw. Of course we take them away as soon as possible but she hates it. I swear that cat is missing a brain like the tin man on Wizard of Oz.

Such a clever kitty! Ya know, when they have their head in the clouds, at least they're not worried!

One of my males learned how to open the folding doors to the laundry room. I worry he might pinch himself in the cracks as he paws and pushes. I'd rather they didn't learn lessons the hard way.
