Everyone that lives with a dog knows that sometimes when they sleep, you'll see them twitching their legs as if they are running. I think they dream of "the hunt".

Last night both Sam and Spike were sleeping. Sam's legs were twitching and he was probably peacefully dreaming about chasing bunnies.

Spike wasn't running, he was chomping on something. Spike is slightly overweight (95 pounds when he should be about 85 pounds). The big lard was probably dreaming about eating the bunnies, not chasing the bunnies.

We were ROFL over this one!

But why on earth would Spike want to chase the bunnies when Sam could chase them, & then Spike could just eat them?

My lab mix sometimes makes sucking noises when she sleeps. She also tends to bark quietly in her sleep. If I'm sitting there when its dark and quiet and she all of sudden barks in her sleep, it makes me jump about 10ft in the air!

That is just too funny!!

What makes me laugh the hardest is when Daisy (my 7 pound teenie weenie) growls in her sleep! She never growls in real life, and I can't imagine what she is "protecting" us from in her sleep with her dainty little growl!

That's what we were thinking. Sam runs circles around Spike and when Spike runs, he kind of lumbers across the yard. Their brothers and probably in cahoots. "Sam-you catch the bunny and bring them over here please".

Aw that so cute! My fathers pit bull was a total nut also. She would always sleep on her side and her legs would start twitching all crazy like, then she start making 'woof, woof' sounds and clicking her teeth together.

I imagine all those sterotypes about her breed haunted her in her dreams...lol

LOL
my dog would run then bark, it was more of a whoop whoop noise because his mouth is closed. Then he would growl and run some more. He did the suckling thing the night before he died, I always think it is them dreaming about when they were with their mothers, as both my cats did that for the first few nights after we got them.
