Yes, Scratch (remember he's the SHY one) hissed at him. 8-Bit just looked at him and tried to play.

Wouldn't the vet scan first to see if there's a chip? Mind you, my vet didn't but we'd had the boys since they were little bubs.

Dr Claw is a handsome fellow. I hope you get to the bottom of his hair pulling.

Not if the people who brought him in said they got him from a breeder. I think that vets only scan if you ask.

What a handsome boy! And he looks like he's got character too. Good luck in sorting out his problems.

I'm sure that some one is going to correct me, but he is silver and light brown.

With him being a Tonk I'm sure that there are formal names for such things, but I have no idea what they are.

He's a sweetie too!

I thought all Tonks were light brown/dark brown.
That's why I asked.....I have no idea what color/patterns they can be!

I guess we are in the same boat. To be honest he could be purple with red stripes that wouldn't change the fact that I love him to bits!

Tonkinese colors are usually called 'something mink'. The colours of Tonkinese are (the term "mink" is not used by some registries) blue mink, champagne mink (light chocolate), honey mink (chocolate/chestnut), natural mink (seal), platinum mink (lavender/lilac), red mink, cinnamon mink, fawn mink, cream mink.
more info on 'mink' coloration -
Mink
Intermediate between sepia and pointed; the points (face, legs, tail) are a darker version of main body colour. Siamese x Burmese cross, intermediate in form and color. Colors are "mink" range.
all of the above from the messy beast archives. here's a couple of links: Tonkinese/encyclopedia

Awww...Dr. Claw is a sweetheart! Such a petite little boy! At least he looks kind of small...what a doll!!!

My mother's fairly recently adopted 8 year-old cat was tearing her hair out while in the shelter...she would groom excessively, and it was certainly stress-related. Hope it gets better soon!
