...When I was so excited about our first real snowfall of the season. Well, be careful what you wish for!
There's supposed to be a "significant" winter storm headed our way tomorrow night into Tuesday that could give us several inches of snow topped by freezing rain or up to 14" of snow, depending on where the path of the storm leads. It's going to be a mess either way. You should have heard people around here gripe after the 6" we got last week. We've been really lucky this winter compared to other parts of the country.

Anyway, I'm not quite as excited about this storm and whatever it might bring, but won't mind taking another snow day off work if it gets too bad!

Stock up on stuff tomorrow, and enjoy the snow day cuddling with the kits, provided the forecast is correct!

Kenz, I get the impression that we're in the minority when it comes to actually looking forward to snow.

I went shopping this morning and am all stocked up with food and supplies for me and the kitties, so even if we do get snowed in, we'll be just fine. Thanks for thinking of us!

The local weather forecasters are already referring to this storm as an "event" and a "situation." They'll probably be on the air giving it 24/7 coverage too.

We were complaining here in Denver about not have a white Christmas for so many years and you saw what we got. I didn't mind the first week of snow, but the second, third, fourth weekends were a little much.

Just be careful driving and stay warm.

Last week the local weather said that we were down 16" of snow for the season-which is bad as the snow melts is important for ground water replenishment. This front coming your way is going to go south of us again!!
The snowmobile/ski trails around here haven't even opend this season.
Stock up on supplies, fill the gas tank and bring out the shovels!!

We're only supposed to get 2-4" tonight into tomorrow, but I live in the country, have no tractor to dig myself out. So I have to call the neighbor to scare the driveway, then I normally have a lil Grand Am, so I'm taking the dually truck!
It snowed last night like 2".

I'm glad you're the one getting the "situation" Eileen!

The main snow event is going north and east of us. We are to get rain, but the ground is still cold so that might mean it might freeze as it hits the ground.

I have to go out this afternoon. Phooey.

Well, the latest is that they've pushed back the start of the storm until this evening, so it looks like the commute home should be okay. It's still up in the air how much snow/ice we could actually get. Our local newspaper had a really helpful weather forecast this morning, reporting that "the situation is not going to be good."

It hasn't quit snowing here. Some days are a little and some alot. The joys of Lake effect.

We are supposed to get the Northern end of the storm coming to you. It looks like a wide spread one.

We are too north for the weather system-only 1" predicted (rats).
Anywho I have NOAA.gov website bookmarked with my town so I can look at any time what the weather conditons are. Much more accurate than the other weather sites too.

Watching the robins sing!
New Hampshire should be getting snow after midnight tomorrow, right through Thursday AM. Of course, our fearless weather forecasters can't decide if we will get 3" or over a foot! However, the Old Farmers Almanac predicted that between/8-2/11 we would receive the 1st significant snowfall of the winter - at least one foot. Yeah, they may be off by a couple of days, but they have been right on the money for the rest of the winter, so I believe them! Yuck, the guy who sits next to me says he hopes we get 10 feet of snow - what a jerk!
