Newbie to the site, and newbie to first kitten

Hi,
I have always been a dog lover, sadly when my last dog passed on. I vowed never to get another animal. I was hurt and lost.
Well lo and behold, we found a kitty in the wall.. another topic I gather.
My name is Sharon, from South Africa, Johannesburg.
I now hope that I will be able to get the much needed info, from one or the other places on this site..
Have patience, I have never owned a kitten before, much less a kitty that has jus open her eyes.
I believe Milli as we have named her chose us..

and a warm welcome to you and your new kitty how exciting, but what a strange place to find a kitty in a wall it sounds like the kitty still needs its momma, so you might have a feeding job on your hands ! Well you´ve come to the right place, theres always someone on hand to help with kitty questions, so fire away, dont be shy and as you probably have already discovered lots of information to help with new fur-babies

to TheCatSite -- we are very sorry for your loss, and empathize so much. We also say bless you and thank you so much for opening your heart and home to little Milli , who obviously does need you so much -- and we hope you find lots of good information, tips, and advice on the forums here. Has Milli had her first veterinary check-up and basic kitten innoculations yet? That would be a great start, if she hasn't been yet -- and a good vet can tell you all about feeding and kitten care as no one else is as qualified to do.

We hope you'll post some photos of your tiny cutie (the Sticky's at the top of the page of posts tell how) and we look forward to watching and hearing of her progress. All 9 of us were rescued; we are indoor-only (always the best for cats!) and spayed/neutered of course. Look forward to seeing you on the forums, and we wish you all success with little Milli!
