I don't really see that as sad, to me it's more like they're super sleepy and are trying to keep their head up. I can see where the sad thing comes from though.

To me, it looks like he is just catching a cat nap!

I've never seen our cat do that. Though he did fall asleep once sitting up. (sometimes he sits like an old guy in an easy chair) He was cleaning himself and fell asleep mid-clean and slowly slid down my leg until he started having trouble breathing because his head was up against my leg but his body had slid flat.

Weird.

Is Dino an older cat?
Our old family cat ChiChi sleeps like that all the time.
We tease her sometimes because it will look like she is sleeping in her water bowl.

Winnie will sleep like that sometimes, I always get concerned she might be sick when I see her sleeping that way, but she never is...guess it must be comfortable.

Gracie and Lizzie sleep that way a lot of the time.
I never really worried about it, because our Maggie (RB) slept like that all the time.

My sister had a cat named Tig who would sleep like that when it was really cold outside, and I mean really cold. Indoor thermostats seem to lie when it's -40 outside. Your thermostat can say it's 70 in the house, but it will feel much colder. Chasey sleeps like this sometimes too. I think it looks cute.
I think she does that on really cold days too, but I've lost track of the cold days.

Awwww, how cute. They do look a little sad when they do that. My RB kitty Sphinx used to do that all they time when he dozed off. (then of course he had a smile on his face when he did.)

I think its cute. It looks to be like it puts thier spine int total alignment. You know how it feels when we get a new pillow that fits perfectly.

They're just kickin' it so completely when like that, tey let their heads fall forward...like a person sleeping in a car becomes a noodle neck! Don't worry...unless she exhibits signs of sickness like weepy eyes or funky snot bubbles out of the nostrils, change in breathing she'll be fine. Just relaxing, though in this photo, Ithink. No sweat!
