Well it went well with the fire
From lighting it up to down on the ground took about 45 minutes. It was cold (until about 20 minutes in then got quite hot) and the wind was blowing in the right direction. Its still probably smoldering a bit in the basement area. We picked up a bunch of the square nails for souveniers!!

This about 5 minutes after starting fire 9:50 am

The firetruck was moved twice as it got so hot-you kind of forgot it was only 5F outside-esp about 30 minutes into the fire!!
I actually took 45 pictures!! I thought the sun looked so cool with the smoke (I took 5 of that shot!!)

This house on our farm property has been unlived in since the 1960's (I found that out today) While structurally sound the cost to make it habitable was ALOT (no plumbing and limited electricity). We unfortunately have trespassers on our property-the first floor had graffiti (bad stuff) on the walls and there is a liability issue if someone gets hurt. So time to go!!

COOOOL

But it's scary to see how quickly fire can spread. Hopefully my apartment building is not quite as flamable

So sorry to disappoint no "hot" fireman!! Two are brothers and single (one owns my in-laws old farmstead) though you would become a true farmers wife!!

Awesome pics, Gail! Sorry to see the old lady go, but it sounds as if you really didn't have much choice. Thanks for sharing.
