Here I am again - this time about my new kittens. We have a 10 year old cat, an 8 year old cat, and about a month ago got two new kittens. The kittens are quite active and are messing with the older two. When my 8 year old goes to the food or water bowl, one of the kittens has to come, too, and mess with him. We have multiple water dishes and multiple food dishes out, so there's ample room for all to eat and drink. Anyone dealt with this before? How long does it usually take?

Your kittens are being just that kittens. They are exploring the social world of the cat, and probably were not with mom long enough to learn all the good manners that good momcats teach their young. It will help to get kitties spayed or neutered when they are of the proper age 6 months, but when you see kitty near the older cat, the older cat will take care of the problem. If you want to intercede, just take the kitten and go with it to another room and play with it and distract if for about 5 minutes. It is typical kitty play and unless there is bloodshed, the older cats will soon put kitty in its proper place.

Thanks for the advice.

The kittens were definitely taken too young from their momma - my dad got them at 5 weeks from a friend. One of them is quite persistent and is also trying to nurse my 8 year old boy! He's a siamese and ironically, the kittens' mom is a siamese. The separating for a few minutes would help, I'm sure. I'll give it a try.
