Hello, I'm new to the forum. To introduce myself, I am an undergraduate physics student at Washington State University. I got my kitty from the local humane society...actually, a box was left on my doorstep with 2 litters of kittens and two mommy kitties! I really didn't have the means to take care of them, but I took them inside, and fed them, and tried to clean them up. The kitties were very hungry and scared. I called the university's vet hospital, and they referred me to the local humane society, which works closely with them to take care of and place stray animals in good homes. The humane society graciously took them in and provided needed vet care. The kittens were too young to leave their mother still, but I picked out a kitty to take home with me when she was old enough and visited her often at the shelter. And that brings me to introduce Joules
! I named her after the unit of energy, because that is what she is: a furry ball of energy! I just love her to pieces! She is a year old now, but she still has as much energy as she ever did. I'm so proud of how well she utilizes Newton's Laws  !!
Cheers!

Hi and welcome to the site.
I hope you find it informative and enjoyable.

Russell utilises the laws of physics too. Though he tends to accelerate to the ground at 9.80 m/s/s when he least expects it.

Welcome to the site Kelli and Joules! How wonderful of you to take care of those kitties. I'm glad your humane society was able to work with you, there are so many who are overrun and just can't or don't take the time.

Joules is a great name! I look forward to getting to know you and Joules better on the boards.

HAHA! Yes, that doggone acceleration due to the force of gravity! It doesn't seem to keep Joules from bouncing off the walls though!

Thank you all for the welcome!
