I wonder if 8-bit will keep some of his trouble making secrets to himself?

I've been holding off on the announcement because I've been so excited!

His name is going to be Dr Claw. So I'll have Bit, Scratch, and Claw.

I'm doing a happy dance!
I bet you are excited!

Bit, Scratch, and Claw - almost sounds like a law firm.

A very furry law firm!

We've talked about it, but they don't believe me. I can tell.

That's adorable. You have your very own counsel in your home.

This is great news Heather! Can't wait to see new pics of him.

Oooh I remembered that you were getting a new one at some point! How old is Dr Claw? Are you going to be going through the weeks of exhaustion due to the kitten crazies or is he a bit older and calmer?

I have to ask that, I need to know who will understand my pain and commiserate with me about my extreme lack of sleep and stilleto point kitten scratch marks right now

Okay, now that I'm home from work I can give some back story on Dr. Claw. He's a two year old Tonk, and is getting tossed out on his furry butt because he no longer matches the couch (yes, you read that right). A few months ago I was contacted by his owner asking if I knew a good home for a cat. I immediately said yes, because this little guy seems so special. They were nice enough to keep him right up to the point where we were going to move into a new apartment.

I can't wait to bring him to his forever home. The people who have him now really don't know how to deal with having a cat. They complained that he meows all the time (Well, he's a Tonk, what were they expecting?!), he jumps all over the place, and sits in any box they bring home.

They had the gaul to ask if I new a Bengal breeder, because once he is gone they are looking at buying one. I told them I didn't have the faintest idea of a good one. (Sorry Nial, they'd lie to you and say they wouldn't de-claw just to get the cat out the door.)

OMG!! If they can't handle a Tonk, how are they going to handle a Bengal??

I'm so glad Mr Claw is going to you, he is going to have the best home ever!

I can already see Bit planning his revenge on you though for a new kitty in the house

Words absolutely fail me, at least there are no words I can use on here that won'd get me banned
Although it's not the first time I've ever come across this sort of thing as a parrot lover - due to the often bright colours people get them as basically little more than a living wall-hanging to suit the decor and then when they redecorate (or it makes too much noise/mess/plucks its feathers out and self-mutilates through neglect) off it goes to make way for the next 'living wall hanging'.

I am so glad you are getting this cat having read that, he will have a wonderful life with you and be appreciated for being a cat, not a decoration or a fashion statement.

Oh how I wish I had a large, thick, pointy stick & their address!
Is there any way you can talk them out of getting another kitten? Or else find out what breeder they are considering getting a kitten from & then call the breeder to tell them you have these people's previous cat?

At least Mr. Claw will have a good furr-ever home! He certainly deserves one!

Congratulations to you and Dr. Claw.
He'll have a wonderful life with you and learn many new tricks from 8-Bit.
