I didn't think any cat would be nuttier then a rex (we raised cornish). But I think Charlie has a rex beat.

Last night we were about ready to sit down to supper, and Charlie grabs the hand towels on the stove - pulls one off - and drags it halfway thru the kitchen. Then he dropped it, picked it back up, and brought it into the dining room

I told him "look Charlie, if you are gonna play with the towels, that means you HAVE to be drying dishes later"...He dropped it an ran to the living room. Wish I had a video cam.....

Ooooo, you used to raise cornish? That's what I have!

Very nice cornie
Reminds me of Spooky - head type and coat. Spooky had a very dense coat. He was 15 1/2 yrs old when he died of a heart attack. His litter sister is still living - she will be 16 in April

What lines is yours out of? My rexes were from DNA, Karena, Kimiki mainly.

I have no idea. The breeder that I got her from lied to me. She told me that she would send her papers and never did. I just know she was a backyard breeder. I found an ad for cornish rex's in cat fancy listed out of Oregon. This all happened before I knew what backyard breeders were. I kept calling her after Bijou was shipped to me, but she never returned any of my phone calls. Eventually her number was disconnected. It's ok though, Bijou is perfect, and I couldn't care less about the papers. All I know is Bijou is a Van, and she was 7 months or so when I got her. At least that's what my vet says. My next kitty will be a rex, I love their doggie like personalities. But this time, I know my stuff. I will find a good breeder, and do a home visit. Living in a small town in Montana, that is hard to do, but I will fly wherever I have to to find the perfect kitty. I wish I could get one right now, but Bijou likes being an only cat, we have tried bringing another cat into our houshold, but Bijou wouldn't have it. I gave the other kitty to my SIL, and Bijou is once again happy. The funny thing about Bijou is, she LOVES dogs. I think she actually thinks she is one!
She runs to the door when the doorbell rings, and she begs for people food right alongside our little pug dog. Cornish rex's are wonderful cats, you would never know that she is over ten years old! She still acts like a kitten!

I am convinced that Radar's insane personality traits and extreme gluttony are due to him being part Cornish Rex. Love him to bits for it, he's a real personality and very unique and I wouldn't change him for the world. Love that cat so much. Charlie may have a rex beat, but I don't know that he'd top Radar the bonkers destructicat
I am biased of course! I bet Charlie is lovely, I love the ones who have chaos following in their wake

I have had 1 Devon Rex and 2 Cornish, who were all totally off the wall
. I now have a Sphynx and he makes the others look like amateurs
. He is one crazy boy and keeps us entertained 24/7!

Well apparently Charlie DOES want to do dishes
He now grabs the dishcloth too and takes it in the dining room. I put it in the bathroom for washing - he dragged it out of there! Back to the dining room. I've got to get a video cam of this and send to America's Funniest Videos - maybe he can earn us $10K?????
