If you live on Long Island near West or North Babylon, you may want to consider adopting this cat.

Audrey will be up for adoption around the 10th or 11th of February. She is one of the cats from my yard and she is very friendly. I'm not sure of the exact vet's office, but if you contact the person on the poster she will give you all the information you need.

So here is the poster I made it will be going up in the vet's office shortly.

Well she got a vet exam for the first time. Got her ears cleaned (and tested for ear mites),a flea bath just in case, stool sample, blood test, vaccinations, and is getting spayed.

No info yet on the stool, blood, or ear mite results, have to wait. And nobody knows how old she is.

Please keep us posted on her, she is a beautiful cat.

The vets office won't just give her to a shelter or anything will they?

I want Audrey to find a forever home.

I hope your friend knows some people too, he said that if they do not find a home for Audrey in about 5 days, she will hafta go back to his house and live outside as a stray.

I am sending hugs and prayers from Mississippi that your friend might know someone who would be interested.

Hi Keith,
Did you try calling Bide-A-Wee: Adoption Center: (516) 785-4079
Have placed a few over there & they do an amazing job of finding a forever home.

Yep I tried, all the places here only takes kittens 6 weeks and under.

It's very frustrating for all the people-friendly strays looking for homes here and for me.

Audrey is a beautiful cat and she is the friendliest cat i have ever met
in my life. she is so affectionate !! she must have been someones pet
at some point. i sure hope we can find her a loving inside forever home.

if you know of anyone on long island that might be interested please
do NOT call the vets office. they are not going to want to take calls
about this cat. if that starts happening they may make me remove her
as soon as she is fixed which is not what i want. i want her boarded
there for a week to give her a chance to recouperate from the operation
and give her a chance to be adopted.

IF anyone on long island is interested then please either contact keith
via this site by posting on this thread or pming him or me.

or you can email me at [email protected]

thank you so much for all the well wishes and prayers.

i hope they work. i would hate to see this sweet girl have to be returned
back outside.

audrey was spayed today. she is doing fine.

she came back negative for feline aids and luk. YAY !!!

they aproximate her age to be about 3 years old.

so with keith's permission i am having them give her a birthdate
of February 14, 2004.

Since she is SO LOVEABLE i thought her having the same birthdate as
Valentines Day would be very appropriate.

Keith - did you already try e-mailing the Best Friends No More Homeless Pets network? There may be someone in the area who can "foster" her inside until a permanent home is found. The e-mail addy is [email protected]. Let them know who you are, what you're doing in the area, and the story of this kitty. They can't always help, but it's always worth a try.
