Cat up for adoption in Long Island,NY

Well, just heard the good word that there is an opening for Audrey & she will be coming in to adoption center Monday evening

Hope to meet Prettyboy there and help get Audrey settled in.

Hoping this doesn't sound off-color but any donations would truly be appreciated...not only for Audrey for all the other kittens/cats there & in foster-care.

That is great news, please keep us updated on Audrey, I do hope that she finds her a forever home soon.

You are an angel for all you are doing to help her too.

i was so happy that audrey will be able to go there monday night.

i know that as soon as she gets settled in everyone is going to adore her.

i had chosen February 14 as her birthday because she is such a loveable cat.

i will have to get her a belated birthday present since she spent her birthday
week in the vets office.

thanks again lisa to you and your entire group for everything you did and
are doing.

and if anyone wants to donate to this group i can tell you that your money
is being well spent. they are doing a wonderful job with these kittys.

they are in a room where they can romp around and play and they get alot
of care and attention.

they are definately a worthwhile group to donate to. :

and thanks again to all the well wishers and the people who made all those
great suggestions !

and last but certainly not least THANK YOU to Keith who never gave up
on his back yard kittys. if it wasn't for him sticking with it and looking
for help audrey and the others, they would still be unfixed with no future.

we still have some more to do but we are about halfway there thanks to keith !!

I'm so glad that she can stay there and not have to wander the streets anymore, thanks!

Now that she is in good hands I can focus more on the other kitties in my yard.


Lisalee if your allowed to post here when audrey gets adopted, I guess you could do it in this topic.

And tell people not to be afraid of her she may look scary to some but she is a big teddy bear.

Update on Audrey:
I met Prettyboy at adoption center w/Audrey and Audrey became our little starlette of the night Everyone loves her!! She settled right in...stretching & posing in her bed, ate/drank & bonked every hand that pet her

I plan on seeing her tomorrow afternoon...that is if she has not been adopted yet!! My feeling is she is going to get a great forever home very quickly.

my friend and i met leesali tonight at the adoption center.

what a sweet heart she is !!!!!!!!! everyone there is just wonderful
and so welcoming and friendly. i wish i lived closer !

audrey is amazing. she adjused immediately !! she is going to love it there !
i bought her a bed so that when she is adopted she will have something
of her own with her own smells to go with her to her new home.

leesali already has someone in mind that may want to adopt audrey which
would be wonderful since leesali knows her already.

i plan on going back either friday, saturday or sunday to visit with audrey
and to bring whatever i can gather up to donate......

which reminds me .... leesali please email me a big big list of stuff so i can
start working on seeing what i can get. i told my friend if she can get
that other stuff together that she can come with me this weekend.

thank you again for meeting us there leesali and for being so wonderful
about all of this and for taking audrey in.

keith and i so appreciate it i can't even begin to thank you enough !!

my camera's batteries died on me UGH !! but my friend brought her camera
and took about 3 pictures of audrey and some of the room she will be living
in with all the other kittys. she will get them put on a cd and then we
will figure out how to email them and with leesali permission i will post a
couple in this thread..... but none with any people in them....just kittys.

It really was amazing how quickly she just settled in; she is going to have a lot of fun there & lots of hugs/kisses. It was very nice of you to purchase a bed & carrier just for Audrey.

Honestly, the two of you really did the hard work & took the initiative to help Audrey...the two of you did a great job in getting her off the streets & keeping her healthy

Wow so much new info! I was painting yesterday and didnt have time to come on the computer.

Thats great everything worked out, Audrey will be really happy now to have lots of people giving her attention. I dont know how anyone could have just abandoned her but now she wont have to worry anymore.

Well if you think she is a Persian, even a mix, then you know she will stand out and have alot of people looking at her, you dont see Persians often in shelters. At least my hunch about her not being pure domestic longhair was right.

Any new news on Audrey?

Ooh Ooh!!! Someone that adopted from us way back when just called me looking for a long-haired adult!!

Needless to say, she is running over to adoption center to check out Audrey...will know more later on today...she can't get there until after 3pm.

oh my goodness !! she has barely been there 1 and 1/2 days LOL !!

i was so hoping i would see her this friday night or this weekend when
i dropped of some donated stuff i collected for your group.

i am so happy for her but kind of sad for myself.

i am so happy you might be adopting her to someone you know.

Audrey is adopted!!!!!!!!

A young couple w/baby that I adopted to back in July had mentioned they were looking for a long-haired female...and well...they went to adoption center & it was love at first sight

They left a deposit & will be taking her home Sunday...so, okay to go Friday to visit Audrey...hope to meet you there.

This is such a warm-fuzzy story that I can't stand it

no one contacted me or keith in response our posters or emails about audrey
being up for adoption.

if it were not for you and your group we would have had no choice but to
return her to keiths yard.

you and your group truely saved that sweeties life. please tell the
president of your group and all your group members how truely thankful
we are that they took audrey in for us.

Very happy for Audrey...I truly believe that the adopters have found the love of their lives...a great match!!

I have siad it before but I will say it again...if it were not for you & Keith pulling Audrey out of the cold and taking care of her medially, she would not be going to her forever home on Sunday

Thank you for being such good souls and truly being a blessing in animal rescue!!
