Noooo, I don't mean Karen!
I mean in the fashion sense?! Apparently today I am dressed very "mod".....I know the style, but was wondering if everyone else has heard of it too. I am wearing a white button up blouse, with a back babydoll style tank top over it, and the front of the straps on the tank are wide with big black buttons....and I have straight leg capri pants on with knee high boots, oh and a pony tail & a wide headband that's a scarf white with black polka dots! If that makes sense....
So do you all think I am dressed "mod"?

I think that term goes back to the 80s and is short for "modern".

Basically you take todays styles, but add your own small twist to it...you're not exactly straight off the manniquin.

I look at it as "stylish, but neat".

I think of "mod" style being a bit 60'sish, like Twiggy and Austin Powers
they had this on ANTM one time, none of the aspiring models knew what mod was either

Yes I know what it means, I actually own a classic 1960s Lambretta which is a bit of a museum piece

Definitely the capri pants, they were very popular and highly fashionable for girls in that era. I am sort of finding it hard to visualise the rest of the outfit tho.

The outfit sounds cool
great link Nate.....I have always wanted a vespa. They had one for $7000 in the vespa store in my neighborhood....it was TOTALLY me....barbie doll hot pink with darker fushia flames all over it.... the vespa itself was only about $2000, but it had a $5000 paint job. Not even my cutest "pweeeeze hunnnnny?????" would get me that!

You are just a whippersnapper, are you not? Guess you do not even remember the number one rated TV show, THE MOD SQUAD? Take it from me, something that is fifty years old will become MOD if you hold onto it just a while longer. (But you can only be a whippersnapper once.) ENJOY!

awww, thanks! Your the best! I have heard of the mod squad, but have never watched it....and didn't associate it to fashion
. I am (almost) 29, but I have a very young mom, and when I was little she was a hippie....long poker straight hair, ripped up short shorts....she was so beautiful! And I have seen pics of her when she was younger, and alot of the style was "mod" back then....
