I was just thinking about what bothers me about the coworkers I am not super fond of. The ones I don't like I think its becasue they talk too much. Not to me necessarily but just in general. Its a quite office so you can hear eerything. Sometimes I just want to work quietly. Then there is giggles. That shuld explain everything. Everything is funny to her and its annoying. What do they do that bothers you?

Oh boy - you ready?

I share a very small room with my coworker who is a self-annouced social anarchist. He says inappropriate political things constantly, not only to coworkers, but to clients and prospective clients. He is ALWAYS talking politics, starting most sentences with "I saw the most interesting thing on CNN this morning."

No matter how many times we tell him WE DON'T CARE, he INSISTS on telling us anyway, while we are busy trying to work! He tell inappropriate jokes, not sexual necessarily, but just inappropriate for a professional workplace.

He weighs at least 350 pounds, smokes, is always sick (gave me and the office manager viral pneumonia because he came to work with a high fever and cough two days in a row, and refused to go home even when we DEMANDED that he leave.) He coughs disgustingly deep, phlegmmy coughs all day long, every day, which makes me gag to have to hear it, every single time.

This week, he has been coming to work smelling like sour body oder mixed with alcohol and cigarettes, and I actually have a candle burning on my desk right now so I don't have to breathe in his odors.

I hate, hate, HATE having to share space with him, and because he is not carrying his weight in sales performance, my other coworkers and I think he is not long for this job, and we will heave a HUGE sigh of relief once he is gone. I've never worked with someone that turns my stomach so often ever before, and I hope I never have to again!!!

Well, she asked!

At least the candle is yummy smelling!

(Don't tell PartyLite, but it is a Yankee Cucumber & Canteloupe candle that I bought before I started selling the PartyLight candles.

but the worest is a boss that, lies on his staff, walkes around tell me he was jeaus christ, JFK, etc. told one women in the office that cause she was lazy he gave her cancer. he does his best to scare people. In fact the area manager is scared to fire him.

Jeepers and I thought mine were bad.
They are irresponsible, lazy, whiny, and couldn't do their jobs right if you offered them all the money in the world to do it! They think as management the manager and I should do their jobs on TOP of ours since "we get paid more then they do".

Ohhhhhhh I love this topic. I know I am not working but I have some stories.
I had to train a teller who would fart and eat pencils/pens. I finally had to pull him in private to talk to him. He wouldn't acknowledge the farts. It was so disgusting.

Another teller was a few years younger than me and said he was in the Gulf War and showed us where a bullet went thru his knee. He would have been 10 at the time. He had stories for everything. Another time he said he climbed up on the Ben Franklin Bridge to watch the 4th of July fireworks. The police thought he was a jumper. He loved to talk about science as if he was a mad scientist. I just grad with a degree in Biology and totally shot down all his stories. He was so mad. When he was fired for lying about being late he bawled like a baby wanting to hug everyone. No one cared. Poor guy didn't drive and was sent out in a storm. Then we felt bad.

Another teller who is still there will talk about herself all day and how she is obsessed with a news man. If she doesn't have a story she sulks and complains about her co-workers like she hates them. When she would get mad at me(I didn't listen to her stories I just walked away) her neck would twitch really bad.

This other guy, I liked working with, had really bad dandruff. You could build an igloo with what was on his shoulders. He owned 2 pair of pants and wore one for a week straight without washing it. He had major gas problems and his chair was stinky as all. I had to spray it down for days when he left.

Wow I can't think of anymore. I usually hated it when they would pretend to not hear me. I had super hearing & could hear them whisper about how they don't want to work etc.

Ok, so think about some of the cat care forums here.

THinking? Got an idea of some of the debates we have in your head?

Ok, so it's not that bad of a situation compared to what a lot of you are describing...but sometimes things get a little heated and we get opinionated and take subtle and not-so-subtle jabs at each other during such debates. I LIKE all of my coworkers and I think we get along for the most part, but as with anything, there are days....

My last job was the sort of place that was full of women and all day it was "oh my god, lovvvvve your top", "omg, your shoes are sooooo cute" and so forth. And I care so much more about comfort than fashion, so the girls would do this to everyone, get to me, pause, then move on to the next person.

They're not trying to be horrible or anything, they were just REALLY superficial.

Then my current job, they're all male super smart geeks, and they barely say a word all day! It's a completely different environment! I much prefer it though
I wear my bright red Crocs there and everyone thinks they're cool.
My current coworkers are all really nice people

I have what has been described as a politely tolerant relationship with one of the other office administrators. Truly, I dislike her a great deal.

She hates animals and is the most anal person about cleanliness I have ever met. (No, I've never asked her if Monk is her favorite show.) She has two different people hired to clean her house. (You know...one is better at certain things than the other.
)

A short time after we started working together I was waiting to talk to her while she visited on the phone with her husband. She had witnessed a cat being run over on her morning walk and actually had tears in her eyes. Yes folks, she was laughing that hard.

There's been some discussions in our office lately about trying to be understanding of the differences in peoples lives. I guess she took that to heart because a couple of weeks ago before Bullseye passed away from cancer, she demonstrated her compassion for me (and Bullseye) by saying I should view it as an opportunity to cut down on the number of animals I have to take care of. Yep, that made me feel better.

One of the delivery drivers used to bring his dog with him. She called the company to complain.
You can almost see the hair on the back of her neck stand up when she even sees an animal, but it's a totally different story when her grandkids use the conference room as a racetrack.

I'd love to dropkick her into a big pile of poo.

Oh yeah, I just had to add this. I have seen her reprimand people because when they staple two pieces of paper together...the staple was not perfectly horizontal or the exact distance she wants it from the top of the page. Or when putting stamps on envelopes...they weren't exactly square in the corner. Needless to say, I have fun with this.

"Oh, the stamp goes there?"

She'd love it here, one of our volunteers always brings his dog in with him, he is now our honorary 'office dog'

Their existance within my space irritates me. One always talks about football, sex, and beer. He acts like that's all he cares about yet always mentions his ex-wife numerous times a day.

Another talks really loud all the time and pokes her nose into everyone elses business.

One guy is just plain stupid. And he doesn't do his job well at all because he doesn't care one bit!

Another quotes 20 yr old movies out of the blue. He's just kinda weird.

Another is a boss and all he does is walk around drinking coffee and smoking. He blows the smoke in my face and hasn't a clue what is going on in his own department.

The bosses. One gets mad at me when I point out her own mistakes. Yet if she'd just use spellcheck I wouldn't have to!

The other is cool unless he's had some problems in the office, then he takes it out on us. I don't likebeing someones punching bag.

OMG!! these stories are funny! but I really for ya
the worst I have is my cubicle neighbor who chews/eats like a cow out to pasture
and of course we have a few women who have to know every single little detail of your life
but I usually sit at my desk with my head phones on, blissfully unaware of any office drama
my friend, who says he's not a gossip, yeah RIGHT!!! fills me in later

Actually, his wife left him last year, and his divorce was just finalized this week, hence the alcohol odor eminating from him every day this week. It's like he is walking around in a noxious cloud.

Personally, I can't see who would marry him in the first place - but that's just me.

Remember the Isle of Misfit Toys from the Christmas specials...ummm..yup, that's where I work.
There are several very compitent people here, don't get me wrong, but you know that one guy/girl you can't wait until the day they leave because they get fired or are laid off? They are here...where I work.

And they all are family/friends. They only recently began hiring outside their circle of family and friends.

We have an outright racist. He also will demeen you from time to time.

A guy that sticks porn photos next to pictures of his wife, kids, neices and nephews

On guy that backstabs you at any given chance to make himself look good.

Another guy tries to get you to do everything for him...he just wants to sell.

They only RECENTLY fired someone because her drug addiction, despite her doing drugs on the premises and everyone KNOWING for 10 YEARS.

The other people in the office are pretty nice though and mostly normal.
